I strongly urge everyone who is a Celt by blood, by marriage, by choice, or by defalt, to pick up the March, 2006 issue of National Geographic. There's an excellent article on the 7 Celtic nations. Very well detailed with a map and pictures.

for those of us that will have a hard time finding a copy of it and don't want to subscribe for a year just for one article please tell us what does the article say? What about the celtic lifestyle/history does it cover???

Besides what am I some newspaper fetching dog. A lil more detail would be nice.

I just picked it up. I haven't had a chance to read it yet. (25cm of snow in the last 24hrs, so I've been 'out there') But the photos are exceptional. That one cliff shot boggles the mind.

Yes! They're great pictures. Don't forget about the website. Also, snow? what's that? Hah, I've lived in Florida too long.

I was fortunate and found a copy at the grocery store last night. It's a pretty good article. In fact many good articles in that issue. There's the DNA tracking of human movement over the millenia, and that coal story looks interesting too.

The second I get my new permanent address, I'm subscribing! My Dad used to get NG when I was a kid, and I never really got why he'd read this boring drivel. I'm so glad we grow up.

I think the main admin of Celtic Radio should post a link to the NGM site. The video they put together is awsome.

That's an article that really catches your eye! My goodness, at first I couldn't believe the picture with all those naked bodies painted red, dancing around at Beltane!!!!! A great article...it seems as though the talk of the Gaelic if were not careful is going to be a language of the past...thank goodness for the elderly who will still speak it. I hope the young people take up when the elderly depart this earth.
