Came in to work late, so I'll be working until 4 instead of my regular 2:30. Getting settled in - I don't think I'll make coffee today as it's just too warm to think about a hot drink. I guess I'll have to have some iced coffee for my morning caffeine.
Just found out yet another person in our office is leaving. I think I hear strains of Exodus playing in the background.

Listening to some music, just talked with a lifelong friend on the telephone. Always nice to talk with friends. I'm still enamored with Loreena McKennitt, The Lady of Shalott. Just bought some machines online for resale. 2 months to the day til Ireland!!! My wife is having a hard time letting our youngest drive, he just got his drivers license on Thursday. So I made her a symbolic Moms' Apron out of paper and we cut the strings. I then put it on the fridge with a magnet and told her to cut off a piece each time she feels more comfortable til its all gone. Ok, back to work

When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am old, I admire kind people. -Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972) Theology Professor
3 is a great age. They are definitely little personalities by then. I am looking at a photo of when my youngest was 3 and his older brother is 8. Its like it was only yesterday, sigh, Love them both so dearly. Time does fly by.
In my family, I've pushed the driving age up to 18, partly due to the driving conditions around here (I'd like to think it's safer to keep them off the roads for a couple more years) and partly because home schoolers have to jump through hoops to get their permits and I just don't feel like playing those games. So, we wait until the kids are 18 and there's no problem. My girls have actually waited until they were something like 19 and 20 before they started driving. Now, I have a 16 year old son who might be waiting in line to get his permit the day he turns 18 but maybe not. He has two younger sisters who will be begging him to take them everywhere as soon as he can. That can be a deterrrent, you know.
My baby will be 11 on Thursday - yes, time does fly!
Having "breakfast". Wow talking about how fast kids grow up. It seems like yesterday that I had all of my kids at homes, all needing something or needing to go somewhere. Soon my son is moving out and my youngest is graduating. I don't know how I feel yet about this empty nest thing.
Trying to get VB6 so I can program something, darn it's hard to find even for under $100! weather here's starting to get better so as soon as the plow the 4 feet of snow off the bike-path I can get riding again, I live only a mile from town but the only road is the Highway and riding on that can be dangerous, anyhoo, I hope ye all have a great week
