Untitled (For now smile.gif )
By Allen R. Alderman

When did I become so jaded,
My life so neatly filed?
When did I lose the joy that's found
In the eyes of a child?

So many unimportant things
Have drawn me far away.
They've stripped me of my child-like faith
And kept the joy at bay.

They've made me cold and, to my shame,
Have left me full of doubt;
They've let this world of sorrow in
And shut my Jesus out.

Restore the joy, the simple faith.
That child-like quality
That strips away the fear, the doubt,
And helps me to believe:

Believe in things I cannot see.
Like love that never fades;
In hands that gently lift me up
And wipe the tears away.

Breathe life once more upon this clay,
Change old to something new,
Soften my cold and icy heart
Renew my faith in You.

Slàn agus beannachd,
Allen R. Alderman

'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama.
Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.

I'd say see the last line for a title...
"Renew My Faith"

It's pretty smile.gif A little rough in a couple spots in my opinion, but quite pretty.

sounds more like a grown-up's lament to me....if it were my choice I'd probably name it "Innocence Lost" or something like that.

Allen,
I really like Anthony's suggestion on this one.....

"Renew My Faith"
