I was so excited, we had a week of temps in the upper 20s and 30s- such a nice break from the -10s and -20s we have had all December and January. It also gave us a chance to dig out from all the snow. I have a consistant 3 foot drift in my yard. Unfortunately that ended last night when we received another 9 inches of wet slushy snow. At least it is still above 20 degrees.
I had hoped we would be finished for snow. We are already well above average for the year. I think it's close to 60 inches since October. It seems like we either get feast or famine. For so many years we were under 12 inches of snow for a year and now it is making up for it.
Don't get me wrong. I really like snow. I'm just not a fan of the constant snow and ice that accumulates. Plus I just bought my first house and I have to shovel the sidewalk all by myself. Which is good exercise but I would like a break now.

Expected 58 w/ 20-30 mph winds gusting to 40. At least the winds will drop a little from yesterday.

Would someone please send some moisture our way?

Val

Only in the 30's here today. We have had to break Goose's pond everyday for over 2 months now as it gets really cold at night. Same with the horse and dogs. We are supposed to get snow today so we shall see. It seems here in Los Lunas we are in a dip and when everyone around us gets snow we get nothing. Snow, rain, I dont care as long as we get some moisture soon or we are going to be in trouble in the spring.

Well, it is still cold as all get out here but the snow was a bust. Blew like crazy for a bit and then that was the end of the snow. Still windy, cloudy and who knows.

We should hit 82 today. Will work on the tan. The orange trees are trying to push blooms out. We really need rain though.

Wind is blowing like the dickens here in Ohio. I've heard rumors of us having winds as strong as when Ike tore a path through here and did a lot of distruction. But the temperature is actually very nice for February!

I was in Indiana today in driving rain and moderate winds. Water in the ditches is on the verge of coming onto the roads.
