Hello out there! I have started to make Irish Step dresses for my children and I thought if anyone has any ideas on the subject or any info about dressmaking that would be helpful. This would be my second dress that I have made for my oldest but because everything is self taught I am in a constant learning process!!

Wow! My hat's off to you ceiligirl! I wouldn't touch making a girl's solo dress with a 10 foot pole. They are getting more and more ornate. Being an adult, we just use black velvet dresses, and I have 2 boys in dance, so I got off easy.

This link might be helpful. It seems pretty detailed on the directions.
