Kit with many modifications... Dixie... it is a left handed gun!
Not buckskinner... F&I War , and Rev War...historical interpreter.
No I am not that short nor is the gun that tall I was kneeling in that picture!
Here is my pride and joy!
shadows.... it is a fine piece of work ... wish i could see it in more detail lockwork trigger.... but i do see how proud you must be of it .... does it shoot center?
She does shoot dead center! Modified the touch hole to make ignition quicker, filed down the sear to make it almost hair trigger. It does have two triggers ( one set trigger and one firing trigger). I can post a larger pic latter.

Grew up shooting...Used to go for Quail from the back of a horse , no less.. I can not belive I shot a living thing , blame it on my rash youth... And my Father, who had an absolute passion for guns.. As would any man who made his living with them .. Shot on National Rifle Team all through High School and Collage .. Moved on to Sporting Clays after that..
I found my real passion in traditional archey, Shoot a re curve . Do some 3-D shoots.. They are LOTS of fun ! But mostly Historic Re enactment .. Battle archery has taken over ! Ask me about my Ben Person Collection

I have a old bear recurve. I have a recurve that my mother made in high school. I have never shot it but it is a great memory to me. Have been to a few 3d shoots, they were ok not a lot of people.
I have been shooting most of my life. My Grandfather rode with a posse in Wyoming, and told the story of the outlaw getting shot out of the saddle. My Grandfather did not like toy guns, guns are tools, not toys! I have (issued) A SIG 226 .40, M16.A.1, Remington 870, and for dress up I own a Sig 232 .380 stainless. If I had my choice I would have cowboy guns and historical firearms. I love black powder, and I love history. Nothing brings history to life for me as much as handling an infantry rifle from the 1800's. Having been on a few humps myself I am impressed when I think that some poor foot soldier had to pack this 20 Lb beast plus ammo.

That is quite the story. I am in Wyoming. Born and raised. Yes to have been a soldier or a knight would not of been fun. Thanks for sharing..

Only you Annabelle!!!!
Even though I have been to a jello shoot... muslin bags filled with red jello hung from poles at different yardage... makes for a real spectacular effect if you hit your target... then afterwards we did jello shooters LOL!
