Celtic Radio Community > Politics & Current Events > Anti Socialist Pledge

Posted by: Antwn 07-Oct-2009, 10:12 AM
For all those worried about the Socialist boogeyman lurking behind every government program, here's a pledge you can sign to refrain from participating.

I, ______________________, do solemnly swear to uphold the principles of a socialism-free society and heretofore pledge my word that I shall strictly adhere to the following:
I will complain about the destruction of 1st Amendment Rights in this country, while I am duly being allowed to exercise my 1st Amendment Rights.

I will complain about the destruction of my 2nd Amendment Rights in this country, while I am duly being allowed to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights by legally but brazenly brandishing unconcealed firearms in public.

I will foreswear the time-honored principles of fairness, decency, and respect by screaming unintelligible platitudes regarding tyranny, Nazi-ism, and socialism at public town halls. Also.

I pledge to eliminate all government intervention in my life. I will abstain from the use of and participation in any socialist goods and services including but not limited to the following:

* Social Security

* Medicare/Medicaid

* State Children's Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP)

* Police, Fire, and Emergency Services

* US Postal Service

* Roads and Highways

* Air Travel (regulated by the socialist FAA)

* The US Railway System

* Public Subways and Metro Systems

* Public Bus and Lightrail Systems

* Rest Areas on Highways

* Sidewalks

* All Government-Funded Local/State Projects (e.g., see Iowa 2009 federal senate appropriations)

* Public Water and Sewer Services (goodbye socialist toilet, shower, dishwasher, kitchen sink, outdoor hose!)

* Public and State Universities and Colleges

* Public Primary and Secondary Schools

* Sesame Street

* Publicly Funded Anti-Drug Use Education for Children

* Public Museums

* Libraries

* Public Parks and Beaches

* State and National Parks

* Public Zoos

* Unemployment Insurance

* Municipal Garbage and Recycling Services

* Treatment at Any Hospital or Clinic That Ever Received Funding From Local, State or Federal Government (pretty much all of them)

* Medical Services and Medications That Were Created or Derived From Any Government Grant or Research Funding (again, pretty much all of them)

* Socialist Byproducts of Government Investment Such as Duct Tape and Velcro (Nazi-NASA Inventions)

* Use of the Internets, email, and networked computers, as the DoD's ARPANET was the basis for subsequent computer networking

* Foodstuffs, Meats, Produce and Crops That Were Grown With, Fed With, Raised With or That Contain Inputs From Crops Grown With Government Subsidies

* Clothing Made from Crops (e.g. cotton) That Were Grown With or That Contain Inputs From Government Subsidies

If a veteran of the government-run socialist US military, I will forego my VA benefits and insist on paying for my own medical care

I will not tour socialist government buildings like the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

I pledge to never take myself, my family, or my children on a tour of the following types of socialist locations, including but not limited to:

* Smithsonian Museums such as the Air and Space Museum or Museum of American History

* The socialist Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson Monuments

* The government-operated Statue of Liberty

* The Grand Canyon

* The socialist World War II and Vietnam Veterans Memorials

* The government-run socialist-propaganda location known as Arlington National Cemetery

* All other public-funded socialist sites, whether it be in my state or in Washington, DC

I will urge my Member of Congress and Senators to forego their government salary and government-provided healthcare.

I will oppose and condemn the government-funded and therefore socialist military of the United States of America.

I will boycott the products of socialist defense contractors such as GE, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Humana, FedEx, General Motors, Honeywell, and hundreds of others that are paid by our socialist government to produce goods for our socialist army.

I will protest socialist security departments such as the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, Department of Homeland Security, TSA, Department of Justice and their socialist employees.

Upon reaching eligible retirement age, I will tear up my socialist Social Security checks.

Upon reaching age 65, I will forego Medicare and pay for my own private health insurance until I die.

SWORN ON A BIBLE AND SIGNED THIS DAY OF ________ IN THE YEAR ___.

That is the most warped thing I have ever read! Some the federal govt has intervened in unconstitutionaly but most is to be provided by state and local entities. I am too buisy right now to argue point by point right now. If you believe that, you have my sympathy.

Antwn;

Jeez man your more Socialist than I am. Some Conservative going to put a contract out on you so watch your back. We have the best Socialist type Gov going; lots of free enterprise, lots of freedoms, and a few safety nets. No damn Big Brother and an excellent Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Yeah, looks like socialism has already won - including insane, discombobulated, disconnected emotional nay-saying. hitler.gif

Antwn, are you from planet beelzebobbit? Or do you work for the state department's P.R. machine? Please see Glen Beck. He likes to argue with idiots. ranting.gif He wrote a book on it.

Me, I aint' got the time. dontgetit.gif

Here's hoping your next thread has an intelligent life force behind it. biggrin.gif

englishmix;

No need to imply that Antwn is an idiot. The U.S. does have some Social Safety Nets. Welfare; Social Security, and Medicare. The difference between Canada and the U.S. political systems is as night and day. Our system is a Democracy, just as yours is, with a few Social Safety nets. It is a balance with just enough socialism to take the worry off of such things as Medical expenses and Unemployment. We have an excellent Charter of Rights and Freedoms and there is no Big Brother telling us that we have to toe the Government Line. Our system works for us but after doing alot of reading on the matter it would not work for you at the present time. The attitude of our peoples toward Government is radically opposite. Forty years ago we voted for Socialized Medicine and the vast majority of our people still support it (86%). As I have said before Socialism (in balance) is not a dirty word nor is it the road to 1984.

I will see if I can post a digital recording from the president's Montana meeting. Listen to who is screaming and ranting!!

The radical left is only opposed if the people are against them!

That is why socialism will never be accepted in America. The side promoting it is bloody frigging crazy!

Just wanted to see you guy's reaction. I don't consider this any more extreme than the Chuck Baldwin post Shamrock made personally. Less so in fact.

By the way, all those who may have accused me or Stoirmeil of personal attacks, read the reactions here. You guys crack me up!

Actually Dr. Baldwin proposes to restore Constitutional rights, not remove them as socialism would do.

I was not aware that the post was "your" statement. As to personal attacks, I stated that If you really believed that you had my sympathy. Being a gentle person of kind heart my offer still stands. If you take the first offer to be a personal attack, I suppose it would necessitate another offer of sympathy.

The US is not a true Democracy it is a Republic ( just like France ), we do not have one man one vote, look at the electorate college that determines the final vote for pres!

Go ahead and chastize me...

Edit: Oh yeah review the pledge of allegnce to our flag...

Good job Antwn...did you menation snow removal and othe rsocial services?

Posted by: Patch 08-Oct-2009, 04:37 PM
Right!!

It is amazing how many people forget that fact from both grade and high school.

Though I like the idea of a true democracy, one man/woman one vote on each individual issue, it would be unworkable. In a true democracy we would not have the voluminous cesspool of laws that we have today and the budget would be significantly lower. (probably balanced too) I doubt you would vote to provide federal assistance for a park in my town, and rightfully so! Were it not for the shift in tax dollars to the federal govt. there would be much more money at the local level for things the people locally feel are necessary. Unconstitutionally, the fed. govt. has usurped tax dollars from the local and state entities and developed a gigantic overhead to manage it before returning a small portion to state and local govt. It would be comparable to having your income run through my management company and I would keep 30 to 40% of it just for handling it. It would probably be illegal but today American govt is run by lawyers and for the benefit of lawyers. The best legislators have no legal background. My observation over the years is, if you elect attorneys there is going to be scandal.

Would be nice but the politics of the last 20 years have direted us to a life of unemployment and dispare!

You have a solution????

Posted by: Patch 08-Oct-2009, 07:40 PM
I do. We have to go back to what the founders intended. "The affairs of foreign nations are of no concern to us." There is no country in the world who is concerned of our plight! The exceptions would be Canada, the UK and Australia. The rest can go to h#ll as far as I am concerned. China needs us as much as we need them. If they do not want to play by the rules, screw them. I have been reading about rare earth which they supposedly have a lock on. We have unmined reserves and Canada does too. I would guess Mexico also does.

We have one tool to bring back jobs and it may just be taking place now.

YES! They need to get off their dead asses and go to WORK! I support a wife, 2 kids and a truck. Some days I work 18 hours if it needs to be done. My Dad (Dogshirt) would kick my ass bloody if I went on welfare. He and I both get unemployment when construction is slow, but no food stamps, welfare check or any other assistance. It's real simple, take any job until you find a better one, but get off your dead ass!

Unfortunately not all parts of the US areas well off. I have worked all my life and had to start over a couple of times. I worked as many as three jobs and can say I never drew an unemployment check. I worked as many jobs as needed to start again.

These times are the worst I have seen in my entire life and may be reminiscent of the 1930's. The community I live in and the surrounding area has NO jobs. The average age of fast food employees here is approaching 60. Our past mayor (who I helped defeat) is stocking shelves at Wall Mart.

When we are loosing 500K jobs a week, there are few opportunities out there.

I do not have much sympathy for someone who has an opportunity to work and turns it down but not all who are unable to find work fall into that category.

The original post is so full of inaccuracies and hypocrisy I thought it could only be posted for humorous purposes. These kinds of posts can not be taken seriously.

There is a fine line between tyranny and freedom. There are some things that the government is better equipped to do more so than others. But to argue that the government is to provide for everything at the cost of those willing to work for something starts to cross the line.

To help clarify this is our Constitution. Unfortunately there are some that believe that by providing "new" interpretations allows greater government intervention which runs counter to our heritage.

I got the post off a message board, it wasn't my invention. In addition, it isn't serious any more than Shamrock's post about Obama being the Antichrist. Calm down boys and girls and have a sense of humor!

Steven seems to be the only one who got that. Bravo.

No, I do not need a CD that bad. I buy what I want. I declined a CD in the contest at the time the contest was announced I did not receive one. You may feel free to verify that if you wish.

Actually I do much of my work on line and have many opportunities to post here. For a number of years after I joined I was to busy to post here. The last couple of years I posted more and expect that to increase as time passes. I certainly do not have the highest number of posts on this site by far.
