If I remember rightly The Celt and or Kelt was the name given to a small stone hammer used in metal beating and This Designation The Keltoi was Given as a Descriptive Term to Craftsmen using this Tool which thereafter became a portmanteau name which was later shortened as a race indicator Kelt or Celt both pronounced with a K the only use of the soft S pronunciation I know of occurs in Sports Organisations Such as Oban Celtic Shinty Team Glasgow Celtic Football Team and Boston Celtics interestingly the two Scottish Teams both find their Origins in Memberships of The Roman Catholic Community I do not know enough about The Boston Celtics to comment upon them but I do find it interesting that Unlike Oban Celtic Glagow Celtic which appear as a singularity or Definite Article Boston Celtics go in for The Use of The Plurality or Multiple |

I` m about to be declared an Apostate and considering I`m a descendant of the man himself A Heretic But I`ll be honest Folk I do not like Haggis So Once I was perusing The Bards Works and I started to read it The Address and I rememebered having previously read that Burn`s Address To The King if read backwards I do not mean Letter by letter but word by word becomes A Tirade rather than a Eulogy So as I was reading This "Address To The Haggis if Read in a Similar Way as You Read Holy Willies`s Prayer It becomes a Satire. Anyway Back to The Subject The Idea of The Piper at The High Table owes it`s Origins Not To The British Army But The Clans as Previous to The Formation of The Black Watch The Piper was Alien to Engand In fact The Pipes Were Instruments of Terror Which may explain Englands Distaste towards The Pipes. It was The Clan Chiefs who employed the Piper and The Position was passed down from Father To Son The Most Famous Being The Macrimmons Holders of The The Faery Flag of Dunveagan |

I started To read this thinking I was going to read about "The Black Watch" 5 killed in Camp Dogwood then realised I was dealing with People Who Bought into "The American Century" Mindset which believed it was possible to Invade a Country Wage Allout War and Not Suffer Casualities Which is Why I put in The Song about The Soldier/Victim Coming Home in an almost Unrecognisable State and Yeah I am AntiWar I marched Against Vietnam I Marched against Bush Juniors War in Iraq But I supported The Balkan War I Supported Bush Senior`s War I supported Afghanistan Not exactly A Taliban Lover My friend and I were Discussing The Forth coming War and how rather than calming the flames an Invasion of Iraq was unnecessary Two Year Before the Actual Event up until The Bombing of London where I have Relatives among other thingsI felt Like a Bewildered Observer watching Some Bizarre Human Tragedy War is Not Glorious War is a Failure to Resolve Political Situations by Other Means You comment on The Fact This is The Twenty First Century Yeah well Tell Marshall Bush That or Sherrif Blair I find it Ironic That The Real Draft Dodger President Clinton Fought A Good War Whereas The President Who wasbut Wasn`t on National Guard Duty Has Duplicated The Vietnam Scenario of fighting an Unnwinnable War Why Unnwinable because The Opponents both operate outside the normal mindset On One side you Have The American Century Mindset On The other A Medieval Mentality Unfocused MultiDirectional that believes The Planet will accept Sharia Law

While goin' the road to sweet Athy, hurroo, hurroo While goin' the road to sweet Athy, hurroo, hurroo While goin' the road to sweet Athy, A stick in me hand and a drop in me eye, A doleful damsel I heard cry, Johnny I hardly knew ye.
Chorus: With your guns and drums and drums and guns, hurroo, hurroo With your guns and drums and drums and guns, hurroo, hurroo With your guns and drums and drums and guns, The enemy nearly slew ye Oh my darling dear, Ye look so queer Johnny I hardly knew ye.
Where are the eyes that were so mild, hurroo, hurroo Where are the eyes that were so mild, hurroo, hurroo Where are the eyes that were so mild, When my heart you so beguiled Why did ye sci-daddle from me and the child Oh Johnny, I hardly knew ye
Where are the legs with which you run, hurroo, hurroo Where are the legs with which you run, hurroo, hurroo Where are the legs with which you run, When first you went to carry a gun Indeed your dancing days are done Oh Johnny, I hardly knew ye
Ye haven't an arm, ye haven't a leg, hurroo, hurroo Ye haven't an arm, ye haven't a leg, hurroo, hurroo Ye haven't an arm, ye haven't a leg, Ye're an armless, boneless, chickenless egg Ye'll have to put with a bowl out to beg Oh Johnny I hardly knew ye
I'm happy for to see ye home, hurroo, hurroo I'm happy for to see ye home, hurroo, hurroo I'm happy for to see ye home, All from the island of Ceylon; So low in the flesh, so high in the bone Oh Johnny I hardly knew ye
Last chorus: ...the enemy never slew ye Oh, my darling dear you look so queer

Well this is what all the arguement was about I argued it was an actual Language with different grammar and punctuation A Fusion of Gaelic Erse Lallans English and American English Tom Leonard said it was a matter of inflection a Dialect Yet Glaswegian is not place of just One Dialect but a multitude. Yet a Guy From Parkhead Can Chat to a Girl from Partick both are speaking different dialects of the one Language and it`s neither Gaelic or English it`s Broad Glaswegian Look at these Three Sentences "Heh Hen Dae ye Fancy a wee donner doon tae Kelvingrove" "Will Ye gang tae Kelvingrove Bonnie Lassie O" "Will you go to Kelvingrove Beautiful Maiden"
"Will Ye gang tae Kelvingrove Bonnie Lassie O" "Will you go to Kelvingrove Beautiful Maiden" These Two can be seen as being related
This is a separate Language "Heh Hen Dae ye Fancy a wee donner doon tae Kelvingrove"
Yet all Say The Same Thing |

I was Lucky to Be inGlasgow when Tom Leonard Tom McrGrath Danny Kyle Eric Bogle Gerry Rafferty Billy Connolly The Tannnahill Weavers Matt MacGinn Hamish Imlach all walked abroad in The Scotia The Third Eye oftimes I argued with Tom Leonard : That Glaswegian was a separate Language with it`s own grammar and punctuation

I said 9/11 and Dealey Plaza rolled into One You may think I exagerate Let Me Say I am being circumspect in My Appraisal
Not only did almost every Noble House Suffer The Loss of at least One Father or Son But Scotland Lost The Greatest Bloom of All Scotland`s JFK "The Falcon" James Stuart The Fourth King Of The Scots Every home in Scotland Suffered Loss Truly "The Flo`ers O` The Forest Were A` Wi`ered Away"
1513 - Battle Of Flodden Flodden was a disastrous and unnecessary confrontation for Scotland. James IV of Scotland was married to the sister of England?s King Henry VIII and a treaty of friendship existed between their countries. The auld alliance between Scotland and France had been recently renewed. There had been English attacks made upon Scottish ships at the time when Henry VIII, on behalf of the papacy, invaded France. James IV declared war immediately, with nothing to gain and ties to both England and France that their war neutralised. With the whole nation behind him, James amassed twenty thousand men with ease, both Highlanders and Lowlanders. His fleet set sail and his army crossed the border into Northumberland with the intention of drawing upon England?s numbers in France.
Norham Castle was among the places captured before confronting the English defenders, led by the Earl of Surrey and his son, west of the River Till, near Branxton, on 9 September.
The Scots took the advantageous high ground. With slightly fewer numbers but superior equipment and artillery, the English moved around the Scots on their west and opened with cannon fire. They struck their target with great success, which the Scots could not match.
James dropped strategic tactics and ordered all to attack. Initially gaining the upper hand, the Scots were again thwarted by England?s superior equipment, the long halberd with its axe, hook and spike bloodier than the spear in hand-to-hand conflict.
English losses were heavy but the dead Scots numbered between five and ten thousand. It is said that ?the slaughter struck every farm and household throughout lowland Scotland?.
There was an unusually high number of aristocracy who came down into combat that day and among the slain were dozens of lords and lairds, at least ten Earls, some abbots, an archbishop and the body of the King himself.
he Battle of Flodden was a decisive victory for the English. For the Scots it had been a disaster, with many of the most important members of Scottish society killed or slain in the conflict. The Scottish dead included twelve earls, fifteen lords, many clan chiefs an archbishop and above all KingJames himself. It is said that every great family in Scotland mourned the loss of someone at the Battleof Flodden. The dead were remembered in the famous Scottish pipe tune
The Flowers of the Forest';
We'll here nae mair lilting at our ewe milking, Women and bairns are heartless and wae, Sighing and moaning on a ilka green loaning, The flowers of the forest are a wede away.
Today a large granite cross marks the site of the Battle of Flodden. It is touchingly inscribed; "TO THE BRAVE OF BOTH NATION

I havebeen somewhat remiss in my post The Reason I joined The Understandable Confusion By The Lady who posted The Post concerning: The Origins of The Pibroch and Lyrics of" Flo`ers O` The Forest". The Lady in Question mistakenly connected it with Culloden A Terrible Tragedy of itself When it was in fact The Battle in Question was in fact The More Catastrophic Battle of Flodden Why do I dismiss Culloden as a Mere Tragedy Compared to The Catastrophe which was Flodden Well using Modern equivalences
Imagine 9/11 and Dealey Plaza Happening The Same Day
That Dear Friends was Scotland`s Fate at Flodden
