Oooh Druid, my favorite BBQ place is in Ball Ground, Ga. We'll all meet you there with the BBQ and head out to Crawfordville, Georgia - my family's favorite place to just get away from everything and everyone. There's a wonderful state park (A.H. Stephens) that we go to every year. They have only four cabins and they are very, very nice. Everytime we go out there, there is no one else in the park - except maybe a few people in the camping area. We take our groceries for a week and spend time as a familiy - no t.v. and no telephone (except the cell phone).
So that was BBQ

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."" Psalm 91:1-2
"Be what you would seem to be--or, if you'd like it put more simply--Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise." from "Alice in Wonderland"
Hopped in the Wombatmobile and met up with everybody in Dalton. Instead of bringing doughnuts, though, I've got Dilly Bars from the DQ! I haven't had one of those in forever - yummy!
I'm thinking we can go to Enigma, GA, from here.
BTW, I just have to interject this after reading Druid's last post. When I was in high school, I had a teacher by the name of Sister Mary Carmel. She was a fanatic about how we pronounced her name with two syllables so as not to confuse it with the candy, which was pronounced with three, as in car-a-mel. Believe me, I've never said it as car-mel and every time I do hear it or see it that way, I just sort of twitch. Old habits die hard.

In my basket I have some Kilts and I am going to Loch Lommond Scotland.
Ball Ground, Ga according to the locals got its name because it is where the Native Americans had played their Ball games. However their games were a bit more than just sports events. The losers forfeited their clothing to the winners. Hey if that was still the case the entire city of Chicago would be naked, all because of a Goat.
I haven't heard that one Druid. I was told that Ballground got its name because that is where the Cherokee and Creeks would compete for hunting gounds rights.
In my basket I have some lemon-aid. We are heading to Mineral Bluff, GA. We can hike in the National forest there.
