Realm: Sweden, but me heart's in Scotland - An t-Suain, ach tha mo chridhe às ann Alba
Oh mo chreach was that fun!!! Being a student myself who have decided to study to be a teacher in German and English/or Social Science I must say I see that the work really's fun!! I promise - teacher's cannot possible die before they're 1000 years old if the proverb "a laugh lenghtens the life" is true...
If you think you can hold me down I beg to differ If you think you can twist my words I'll sing forever
Tha gach uile dhuine air a bhreth saor agus co-ionnan ann an urram 's ann an còirichean. Tha iad air am breth le reusan is le cogais agus mar sin bu chòir dhaibh a bhith beò nam measg fhein ann an spiorad bràthaireil
If you think you can hold me down I beg to differ If you think you can twist my words I'll sing forever
This dates back a while! I remember getting a copy of this in one of my classes in college twenty years ago.
I was a high school history and English teacher for a while. It's hard to imagine students today getting this close to the facts for an essay test (or put together such fluent sentences). I wasn't even allowed to give essay tests - even in English class!
I don't remember ever laughing over a student answer, unfortunately, just a lot of pounding my head on the desk after hours. I spent a lot of my time so frustrated that if I had been allowed to administer subjective type tests and had gotten back answers about the mechanical raper and the boobs on the neck, I would have leaped for joy that someone sort of got it!
Those were funny! Always thought Capt. John Smith was a bit of a shady character.
