"Tis a Scot
I was Born
And a Scot
I will die
In a Land
Far from Home
But a Land
That I Love.
We Scots helped
To build
This Glorious Place
This Land that
Is Free, this
Land of Great Space.
the East and the North
Were the first place
We lived
Then the Praries
And Mountains
The Coast
Of the West.
We Farmed and
We Hunted
Traded and Trapped
Explored and Settled
Made most of the Maps
We followed the Rivers
The Trails and the Paths
Through Forest and Plains
And great Mountain Gaps
We opened this Land
For those that
Would come
To build their
Fine Cities
And call this Land
Home.

You're definitely in love with your country and what a wondeful hommage to it one can read in your poem.
If only all Canadians would really see the beauty of our country like you do...

LOA;

I am caught between two loves as I said in my poem. To bad I can't pick Scotland up and set it down in the Gulf of St. Lawrence just a wee bit north of P.E.I. and a wee bit south of NFLD.

Camac.

Awww!Man wouldn't it be wonderful eh! You can bet your life that I'd be the first in line to buy a house there by the ocean and just sit there listening at the sound of the waves and the cry of the seagulls all F.R.E.A.K.I.N.G day long.
Just peace and quiet.

Okay I guess it's time for my bed I'm dreaming standing up again....

Thanks for the lovely poem Camac.
