What ever will happen to the poor girl? Will she have to wear an orange jumpsuit too? It's really not her color. Will she get prison tatoos??? Will she hit the weights and come out all buff? Will she teach others to make shivs out of eyebrow pencils??? Will prison food under go a rebirth??????
Personally, if I had a lot of money invested into the Market and I hear that the shares are going to drop. Wouldn't I want to save as much of it as I could or should I have just sit there and be stupid and let myself go broke? These people are in there to make money, not loose it. Duhh. Where are their minds at? Were they one of the people who just sat on their hands and lost their money and are now upset because they didn't think of it first?
Compassion is the sometimes fatal capacity for feeling what it is like inside somebody else's skin. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you too. - Frederick Buechner
If society prospers at the expense of the intangibles, how can it be called progress?
*sigh* The lack of compassion I see towards her makes my heart sad...
I guess it is because I think the took what was truely the OLDEST profession in the world, housekeeping... no one just never made money from it before.. and raised it to something a woman could take some pride in.. As opposed to just being a homemaker...and what society used to think of that.. No she did not give off a warm and fuzzy vibe, but she made an amazing bussiness for herself.. I'd rather have her as a role model for my neices, than Brittney Spears..
You're right Paula. She just exhausted me and made my look at my house as a dump. I haven't followed the court case. I have to believe whatever she did, many others do as well. We watched Wall Street agian not too long ago. The lines between legal and illegal do seem a bit fuzzy, but that just may be because I don't understand the process, not having any money myself to invest.
Oh Elspeth ! oh dear.. that was not ment for you at all ! I KNOW how compassionate you are ...
I know she was taxing, and terse ! NO woman alive could have the hours in the day she did , or do it as well.. we don't have a crew to do it all for us ..
I loved to poke fun of her too.. All the , set the table with the silver you mined and then crafted this afternoon on the flax table cloth you wove, this morning ...
But if you stripped away that .. I loved the simple message behind it.. Put a few daisys in a jelly jar, and get your family around the table! And be proud that you keep a house,, Its WHOS in a home, not WHAT
I just love the underdog I guess.. and hate to see her being punished for something men do every day .. I just want to see women pull TOGETHER not APART !
regardless, Who ever you are, Break the law and you pay for it. And I know of a few who have gotten away with murder literally, Because investigators made mistakes or tried to "fix the evidence", but still they broke the law. I don't believe she will spend any time in jail, at all. I betting on 5 to 10 years probation.
