Got a chance to go hear these folks in concert in the next two weeks. Just wonder if anyone has heard them in concert and what their impressions were. Worth the trip? (it will be at least a two or three hour drive)
Thanks for your input and have a great day!

I heard some of their products from Ceol na nGael (wfuv.org) and I found some of their CDs from J&R (jandr.com) sorry, I don't know them well, I just heard some of theirs from radio
One of my all time favourites and saw them in concert a number of years ago in Montreal. Amazing show and although Karan Casey was no longer singing, Deirdre Scanlan did a fantastic job. You will still see the wizardry of some of the top musicians in Celtic music and not be disappointed. The lineup that you will see is the same as I saw except for the loss of John Doyle (gone solo and doing a lot of work with other bands) who is replaced by Eamon McElholm. He has quite the credentials as well so if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip.

All I can say is WOW ! They were fantastic. We had a great time. They were also very friendly and personable. They took time to visit with everyone after the concert and even signed the little home-made concert poster my ten year old daughter made.
Looking forward to seeing them again sometime.
Oh, Macfive, I wore my Highlander Radio t-shirt! Lots of folks were trying to read the web address on the back of the shirt, so I hope the advertising pays off!
Haynes9, Glad to hear that you liked them!!! As I think you know they will be here (Albuquerque) on Thursday night. I am planning to go to this one. I hear that Karan Casey was awesome a few weeks ago, but she said not to miss Solas! I can't wait!!!

You will love them! I am trying to talk my wife into going Thursday since she could not go to the Flagstaff show. Maybe we'll see you there!
