Hi Cabbage,

It's nice to be welcomed. But, fair warning, you might regret it!

Welcome to the forum Faceless. Hope you'll find the board and site fun. I know we all have a lot of fun even if it's just talking about the weather though we talk about a lot of stuff not just the weather. I think it was in response to someones intro and question that spurred the discussion into the open.

Any ways Welcome!  :)

Hi faceless,  That is a real catchy name.  I suppose that could describe most of us on this board.
Enjoy and post.

I noticed in the rules about posting stuff that should be suitable for children. Does that mean if it's not blatant it's ok?

I've got some stuff...

Hi Faceless. Just use your best judgement. We know kids do sometimes join in and we just want to make it enjoyable as sometimes even the parents join in like Aklassie and Akferret mother/doughter and I think her sons also here if not another members son. Can't remember but it's good to try to keep it somewhat clean just so the kiddies don't learn anything bad here and the parents can enjoy it without seeing their kids learning bad things. I know this is coming out more heavily handed then I intend it to be but trying to say this right but just hard to word nicely yet heavy enough.

Just use you best judgement. Not sure if you have kids or not but if so would you want then hearing this or learning this joke/saying or such? If not then maybe best to hold off. In fact I am going to mention this to  Paul as I was just thinking from items I saw in my forum but you can password protect a topic and I am going to mention he maybe create and adult topic and password protect it and only those who want in can get the password then more lively jokes wil be allow without worrying if it's OK or not basically that forum will be a free for all anything goes. But will mention it to Paul and sure it will be OK.  :D

I know at least my goals in my own forum are to have a lot of safe fun!

Well i sent in the message to Paul privately suggesting maybe a password protected topic where the discussion could be a little more open to jokes and such that might not be for those who aren't interested in such or for kiddies that way those who are interested can also enjoy yet not be worried about the kiddies reading items meant more for adults.  ;)

Well not really talking about pornographic style of adult but I know some clubs I am in on yahoo tend to share a lot of jokes and some are more on the adult side more appropriate for adults. But will leave that up to Paul.

Scottish2, perhaps we can borrow the rating systems from the movies? How about G, PG, R, and X? Personally, I shy away from X rated anything!!! However, some jokes that I find funny would probably fall under the "PG or R range for mature situations and humor"

For those in UK and elsewhere :

G = suitable for general audiences of all ages (think Mr. Rogers)

PG = parental guidance (some language may be considered offensive - stuff you would not want the children to repeat in Sunday School!;) the movie Shrek is rated PG for language and content

R = no one under 17 admitted without an adult (think adult language and mature situations) Eddie Murphy movies such as Beverly Hills Cop usually have "R" ratings

X = raunchy, nasty, low brow gutter "humor"

That's a good idea as well. Just trying to suggest some alternatives so everyone can enjoy the board yet protect those who might not be interested or should not be interested at such a young age. ;)

I didn't mean to cause such a hassle.

I'm not talking about posting hardcore humour... just a few words and pictures that aren't suitable for 9 year olds!

I'm also one of the kiddies.  I like this forum also because it's clean.  Maybe post a site not conected to the forum might work.  Please Faceless, don't take what we say wrong.  Any adult humor has it's place, I just don't feel it's here.  We have enough sites on the net that has that.  I also have a 17 year old daughter who visites this site often.
