We've got a price war going on about 5 miles from my house. There are 2 gas stations across the street from each other. They started out Friday morning at $3.04. By 5:30pm it was $2.69. At 11:00pm it was down to $2.29. Yet, a mile up the road from them it's still sitting at $3.04. All I know is that I had my husband take our van up there at 11:00pm and fill it up! I'll stop by there this morning on my way home from work and see what the price looks like and if they even have any gas left!
Isn't that crazy Irish Stepper. Kind of like mall shopping keep looking you might find it cheaper. lol
Our prices today are starting at $3.45 and go up to $3.49 so they are still dropping here. We only have 6 gas stations to pick from. I want to go back to complaining at $1.61 like at the beginning of this topic..lol.
3.09 a gallon. There is alot of complaining going on. In every town around us gas is at least 30 cents a gallon cheaper.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. - Sure, gas prices have come down lately. But to 34.9 cents a gallon? That's what Kelly Joosten and dozens of other motorists paid at a Citgo station Monday. The sign advertised $3.43 for a gallon of premium fuel, but the pump cost read $0.349 a gallon.
"That was amazing," said Joosten, who normally spends about $100 to fill up her 1998 Ford Expedition.
Joosten proudly showed off her receipt for 25.36 gallons at $8.85. She said she saw other motorists filling gas cans, too, at the discounted price.
Station owner JP Raval says the attendant on duty couldn't figure out why the station was suddenly so busy.
Raval estimated 30 to 40 customers fueled up at the incorrect price — between 200 and 300 gallons worth — for about 90 minutes.
"People kept coming, so fast," Raval said. "Everything was crowded; it was like a fairground."
