It's been quiet for a long time - the clans are resting and rebuilding. We are all in this for some side entertainment. Like TheCarolinaScotsman said, find a group of folks and join in....you never know how things will turn out |

It does mention this in the "rules", but it is definitely not well known by the masses.... That's what the clans can help their members with...the little things that are not readily apparent out there --- like try to find out any good information about recruiting workers .. sigh .... |

I made it to King -- for a short while -- it was good run, but I rightly returned my throne to the rightful owner... |

CarolinaScotsman,
I have just stumbled across your post and found it to be most interesting.
A wee bit of my history --- My mother is Scottish (born and bred), and both my fathers parents were born in Scotland -- my grandparents and my mother emmigrated to Canada. I was raised in the Presbyterian church. A few years back I went through the RCIA process and converted to the Catholic faith. Needless to say, my mother was none to happy with me -- .
It will be interesting to read some of this information to gain a better understanding of it all.

I don't know that length of post really makes any difference, but possibly it does. I think that the quality of the post helps, but again, I don't know how exactly. I think it is a subjective system and an the folks at CR do a pretty decent job of it.
My 2.5 cents worth..... |

I suppose I could search the help, but at what level are the battering rams and trebuchets available as options for building and use?

So, do you really expect to run your own clan and recruit with "Pogue Mahone" as your tagline? |

For sure - what happened? I joined a clan, and now I am a member of "." so I left. How does this stuff happen? It looks like the clan is still there. |

This is pretty good stuff. I have only been in twice to-date and things are rolling along better. I will spend some more time at home getting my little piece of the world pumped up. You have to spend to recruit, train, build --- so collect GOLD!!!! Aye......

Very interesting concept. I will try and keep up --- and keep learning. Without a solid foundation, there is no Kingdom. |

Usually good coffee in the morning (yes, a Starbucks snob am I) -- not as much as I used to drink though. In the evenings I'll take a good IPA or Scotch Whiskey any time !! |

Paul ,
Thank you so much for listening to us whiners Imagine my surprise when I tuned in this morning and was happily listening to the Bagpipes again. I will continue to support Highlander Radio as it is clear that there is somebody out there who actually listens to their "listeners". You guys are awesome -- keep the music playing.....

O.K. -- so I like the new format -- almost. Ever since I was a wee lad, I have loved the bagpipes (even tried to learn to play them, but that is another story). I loved the Bagpipe Hour, and the 7:00 - 8:00 am West Coast time was a perfect way to start my day on Mon-Wed-Fri (in fact my Outlook reminder just went off). I can always request bagpipe tunes, but who knows when they will make it into the mix -- probably when I am off in a meeting (sigh).
Bring back the Bagpipe Hour!!!

Hi All,
I have just tuned back into Highlander Radio after an unbelievable summer of travel with my son's baseball team. I was sad to discover that one of my absolute favorite features has been removed. There is no longer a "Bagpipe Hour" and that makes me sad. I absolutely loved listening to the pipes and it worked out great for me out here on the west coast (7:00am - 8:00am, MWF). I am going to miss it. Any plans on restoring it?
