What is the best way to archive your digital photos?

I know it is not 100% safe to keep your digital photos on your hard drive. So how does everyone else safeguard their work? Do you do it online? How about burning them to a disk?

DVDs are great for this! My dad uses external hard drives.

I use CDs, external hard drives and web albums. And some of my favorites I print out and put in photo albums. I probably over archive but I am not convinced that CDs are going to last.

Aaediwen, are there specific DVDs one should use for photo archiving?

Great question, JP! I was wondering how others archived their photos as well.

Nothing special that I'm aware of, nope.

Try to look for archival gold DVD's. They have been tested and are predicted to last up to 100 years. They aren't cheap, though.
