Celtic Radio Community > Technical Support > Broadcast on media player?

I was wondering if Highlander Radio will be able to be heard via Media Player in the future or if it will only be on Real Audio?

Just curious as we only have Media Player at work and I would love to be able to listen to it during the work day.

Thanks!

Hi Ladyhawk!

First, welcome to the board!! Love your icon by the way!  (d)

There are a number of changes in store for Highlander Radio in the coming months. Alot of this is being driven by certain rules and regulations that have been past down by copyright laws. You can read more in our general forum.

The long and short of it is that we have some exciting opportunities ahead of us and a windows media option will be available in the future.

In the meantime, I would suggest using the live365 button to connect to the broadcast and choosing a default media player that is available on your computer at work. Let me know if that works!

Thanks for the welcome!

Unfortunately the only players Live365 offers for the Mac is:
Apple iTunes
MACAST
RealPlayer 8

We aren't allowed to download anything new on our computers so I'm out of luck! Hopefully I'll see a Media Player option in the future!

Thanks again for the help.

We use to be listed on I-Tunes before all of this copyright stuff started. Check there and try to do a search for Highlander Radio. I know at one time we were there as my brother has a mac and I noticed in the logs alot of i-tune streams.
