We seem to be having an issue with people registering, but for the life of me I can not duplicate it.
Basically, they are stating that they can not see the security code on the registration page. I don't understand it, because I can see it fine.
Would really appreciate a few people registering some dummy accounts. Just use "TEST" as the prefix name so I can delete them later. ex. test1, testIOU, etc.
I don't want to turn off the security feature because it is a major anti-spamming feature of the software.
And it worked fine for IE 6.0.2800.1106 test_talleyrand_ie [edit]While I didn't create the accounts, I was able to view the numbers a-ok on Opera 6.05 and 7.23[/edit] All of this is on W2k Professional
These are the results I am getting too. I see no problem, but I continue to get messages from people that say the images links are broken.
Also the other issue seems to be the enter the code and it says it is the wrong code. Perhaps on their screen the security code does not look the same as we see it? If anyone wishes to test this out, please do ? it would help to know on various different screens if the code is not viewable.
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt
The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer, English Philosopher (1820-1903)
Minor update, it looks like the site chokes on Netscape 4.06 which is also 4.76? Don't laugh, we still have clients where that is the standard thus our pages have to be hacked and sodomized to do all sorts of evil things. *shudder*
And as I read the javascript in the page, I must first thank you for recognizing the wonderfulness that is Opera. It's my browser of choice. If I may make a humble suggestion, don't lump all other non-IE/Opera browsers into the Netscape category. A cursory trip through the site looks just fine in FireBird/FireFox so there is no reason to Update my browser, as the second, albeit amusing, pop-up says on the bookmark page.
I don't have an AOL browser to test with but if I were to guess, that'd be my culprit. While Netscape 4.X does choke, at least for me, I don't think they would have seen enough information to even know where to send the email. Aaediwen has provied a Moz screen shot so I thought I'd dump the shots from other browsers. All on W2K professional. IE 6
Opera 6.05
Opera 7.23
FireBird (0.7)
FireFox (0.8)
I wouldn't recommend viewing the site in it, but here Amaya 8.2+
