I have just recently begun to try to learn the Irish Penny Whistle and I need help finding a good place to learn from! I bought a book for beginners, but it only teaches me the real real basics. Pretty much only the fingerings of the notes. I have a D flute and a C flute. On another subject I would really love to learn to speak Gaelic and I was wondering what would be the best way to learn? I've looked up books on the internet but most of the ones I have found have real bad reviews... Thanks for the help and God Bless! -Matthew |

If you want to learn Irish, Rosetta Stone has it. Buggers don't have Scots Gàidhlig though But, there are some free places to learn it. As mad as I am at them right now (unfair reporting since Alex Salmond took office!), BBC Alba has basic Gàidhlig lessons. It's geared toward kids, but hey, when we're just learning, whatever works, aye? http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/alba/foghlam/airsplaoid/index.shtml |

Alright! I'll definitely check it out! That's true, I'm basically like a kid because I pretty much have no knowledge yet. Haha. |
