Hi Again Everyone,

I've just heard that the problem with individual track downloads has now been fixed.

You can get them at :

http://www.musicinscotland.com/acatalog/Ke..._Walsh_CDs.html

Please feel free to have a look and a listen and to leave a review if you're moved to do so wink.gif

There are previews of all the tracks too.

Regards
Kevin

Hi Rindy,

thanks so much .. it's really lovely to know that you're enjoying "Clarinda's Reply".

I'm actually working on songs and tunes for my new album at the moment and hope to have it completed for around the middle of next year.

However, I do hope to have some tracks ready to listen to well before that and will figure out a way to make them available to listen to. They should be done just after Xmas.

I'd certainly value your opinion.

Regards
Kevin

Listening to "Shades of Gold and Crimson" right now. It's good tonal coloration in the music -- I like the dark sounds on the bottom, makes the flute come up like a shaft of light striking. It's a good sound, and a good fit to the mood of the lyrics.

Thanks Stoirmeil

I'm glad you like it.

It's now exactly the time of year that I wrote about in "Shades of Gold and Crimson". The colours on the hills are very spectacular here in Scotland at the moment.

I tried to capture that in the both the words and the music for the song.

Regards
Kevin

Hi Rindy and Everyone !

yes the Dougie MacLean weekend is a week today. As it'll just be me and an acoustic guitar I've been busy re-arraging some of the tracks on "Clarinda's Reply" as "unplugged"versions which has been good fun and a challenge. I've also just finished the music for a short film which was premiered in Dundee on Friday .. so been busy biggrin.gif

I'm also hoping to give a new song it's first airing at the Dougie MacLean gig, if I get the chance and more importantly, if I finish writing it ! thumbs_up.gif

I've got another piece of news about "Clarinda's Reply" too but will put that in a new post I think wink.gif

Take Care
Kevin

Hi Rindy and Everyone

well I did my short set at Dougie MacLeans Perthshire Amber weekend along with a few others who came along to do an open mic spot and it was really enjoyable.

I did new versions of "The Red Rose of Strathmore" , "Ae Fond Kiss" , "Clarinda's Reply" and a new song Called "Another Time, Another Place". They were all just me and an acoustic guitar .. so totally different from those on the album but they all seemed to be well received.

I'm getting a taste for performing live now ! Must get more gigs ! biggrin.gif

Regards
Kevin

Kevin - so glad to hear your weekend went well then... Do you have any thoughts on releasing your 'unplugged' versions? I almost always like those versions...when you just have a voice and an instrument...and I'll look forward to hearing the new song as well... Yes, you should get more live gigs - sometimes...the smaller ones are better! But happy to hear that the weekend went well.

Hi Amy and all,

thanks for that ... and yes .. I am now thinking about recording a collection of "unplugged" songs. It's on my ever growing list of things to do biggrin.gif What I'm thinking of is an album of 10-12 songs, some traditional, some not so traditional, some new and maybe some which are new arrangements of my existing songs. The live version of "The Red Rose of Strathmore" with acoustic guitar is VERY different from the version on "Clarinda's Reply" but I hope just as nice thumbs_up.gif

I'll be sure to keep you posted !

Regards
Kevin

http://www.perthshireamber.com/openmic.htm

I'm the third one down in the first column .. you'll need good eyesight .. biggrin.gif

I really enjoyed doing it and am looking forward to my next gig which is in Glasgow's Mitchell Library in January 2006. I even get a wee mention on their web page too thumbs_up.gif
