Hello Everyone,

I am looking to see if anyone reading this message may have any ancestors, relatives, or connections to a certain Catherine O'Connell who was born about 1849 or 1850 and died April 22, 1872 in New York City.

At the moment, I do not know the names of Catherine's parents or if she had any brothers or sisters. I am not 100% sure if she was born in New York City or if she was born in County Cork, Ireland. Perhaps Catherine was born in New York City, but I have a feeling the O'Connell family came from County Cork.

The little information that I do have on Catherine O'Connell is as follows:

Catherine O'Connell married Adam Wannemacher (born in Rehborn, Germany about 1841), son of Adam Wannemacher and Philippina Held in New York City on January 19, 1866.

The marriage register record for Adam and Catherine stated that Adam was 25 years old and Catherine was 17 years old. Catherine's residence was listed as 196 East 17th Street. The marriage was performed by Reverend Samuel E. Seaman at 123 East 27th Street in Manhattan.

Catherine O'Connell and Adam Wannemacher had the following children:

1. Adam E. Wannemacher (29 Nov 1866 - 23 Apr 1948)
2. John Charles Wannemacher (07 Sep 1869 - 22 Jun 1938)
3. Edward Wannemacher (24 Aug 1870 - ?)
4. Mary Wannemacher (25 Nov 1871 - 01 Jun 1872)

If anyone has any ancestors, family or connections to an O'Connell family living in New York City, Manhattan during that 1850 to 1880 time period with information matching the above Catherine O'Connell please respond to this message as I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
