Me in a book alongside greats like The Sultans of Ping, Frank and Walters, Donnelly and of course Rory Gallagher is enough,

but this is no ordinary book!

I know how much work Mark put into this, 5 years of painstaking research, this beautiful book is going to become the bible of Cork music for decades to come.

It takes you on a journey from my Father's showband days, to my first band REAL MAYONNAIZE and the punk years, through my time with THE CHAPTER HOUSE, finishing up with my most successful venture METISSE.

It is superbly written and illustrated, And is a must for anyone interested in why we do, what we do.

Aida and I have started recording our third album. We are thrilled with the results so far, It has been 8 years since we recorded our second album NOMAHS LAND together.
It is a lot of work, but very enjoyable. Aida's voice is sounding even more magnificent, and there is a nice retro Jazz vibe creeping into our music.

My limited edition EP : SEAPORT FUDGE FACTORY is selling very well! We sold the first 200 signed CDs in 1 hour & 40 Minutes on Saturday night, they are on their way to everyone :-)
It took me 3 hours to sign them all!

IRISH MAKEOVER

My album IRISH MAKEOVER is doing very well, in no small part thanks to you guys and CELTIC RADIO (where it has been #1 for weeks!) The album is #2 on Myspace (Irish Lounge) just behind SKULLY @ #1 :-). Track 7 : KING OF THE FAIRIES has been nominated "exceptional Composition" by Celtic Radio, and track 11 : SHIRIN is the most downloaded on iTunes.

Celebrated singer/writer/choreographer/dance teacher Aïda and accomplished Electro/Lounge/Alternative musician Skully make up the synergetic Duo “Métisse”. One of their most acclaimed original compositions, “Boom Boom Ba” has been used repeatedly in movies.

Their talents match in a seamless union of engaging music. Skully’s masterful mix of alluring layers of instrumental and synthesized effects enchants one’s psyche while Aïda’s dynamically diverse vocals delight the heart and soul.

Many of their compositions are inspired by their passion of real life events or places.

On 8 September 2009, after an eight year sojourn, the Duo, Métisse began recording together again. This is a very exciting time for Métisse and Skully fans. We have been told, “...the magic is still there...” Listening to their fabulous Métisse albums, “My Fault” and “Nomah’s Land”, you can feel the passion and romance in Aïda’s glorious voice as well as Skully’s magnificent music. The spark between the two comes across very clearly in their music.

They are working on their third album. And we have been told there are at least two tracks ‘already in the bag’, so to speak. Skully has also stated, “It is a lot of work, but very enjoyable. Aida's voice is sounding even more magnificent, and there is a nice retro Jazz vibe creeping into our music.”
