I put in an order for 100,000 food at 1g per unit, some one tried to sell me 15,000 food, the 15,000g was taken from my account but it gave me a negative 15,000 food.

This has happened before and I just thought it might be something you would want to look in to.

I would also like to thank you all for all you do to make this such an enjoyable game !

This same thing has happened to me in the past. I just figured that I was doing something wrong. I am glad that I am not crazy )).
That being said that market seem to be alittle out of wack. Maybe a better way to do it would be to have the program show all the people selling goods and what they are asking and how much they have. That way you can choose who to buy from and see all the available products for sale. That way it seems now is that you can only see the goods available that has the highest price. It makes the marketplace impossible to use as I would never pay these prices.
I hope I explained myself enough but I know many times I have an idea in my head and when I write it out it does not seem the same )).

Actually the market shows the LOWEST price available at the time.

Randy,

If the market does not appeal to you or nothing is available...one thing you might want to do is "exchange" with your clansmen within your clan.

If for example you need food and have the gold to pay for it and one clansman has extra food you just exchange. That way the resources stay within your clan.
And thus could balance each of your resources.

Just a suggestion for you to do.

Yea LOA we do exchange materials within the tribe, but the thing nice about the market is that it is instant. Seems like I am always 100 wood or food from what ever and I always have extra cash.

I was just trying to think of ways to improve the system.

Randy,

Here's a tip for you if you want to try it.

In order to have a better balance of income build at least 100 more farms then your number of mines and at least 50 more lumber than your mines.
This will balance your income but at the same time you should not put too many workers to task first they cost you too much in gold for nothing....

Build as much as you can...I discovered that even when at 250 in buildings the income is not significant enough to counter balance with the rest and the income is between 25 to 35K per hour...but once one is past 350 that's when it is more interesting and the more you build the higher the income per hour and in reality one only need a the minimum workers assigned in each buildings to produce a favorable income.

Hope this will help you and others that find the income a problem.

Hi all, new here, fun game so far!

But I had the same problem. I had active orders in the market to buy wood and food. This has worked in the past. But just now I received news saying I bought 2439 food and 2449 wood, however these maounts were subtracting from my food and wood totals instead of added.

Is it possible for an admin to look into this, and fix my totals? Thanks.

Conquerant,
The market is a crap shoot if you put an order in, some times you win some times you lose big and there is nothing that can be done, I hope the new changes to MK in the near future will solve this but untill then it is best to just build up you camps, farms, mines and workers,

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Argh, it happened again, this time I lost 4,400 food and am now in negative numbers! What a strange bug.

Thanks Gandolf, since I had success in the past I thought I'd gamble and try again, and apparently I lost, not doing that again!

Put an order for food and bought food, but my food went into the negative. So cancelled the rest of the order and the gold was added back to my amounts but no change to the food amount. Seems like whenever I "buy" food, the amount of food goes down instead of up.

We have bought 10 Food on the market.

Issue with buying food on the market is still going strong:

I had around 4 K food I think when last I checked - don't know the exact amount, but more then a few hundred
Just now, a few hours later, I log on again, and have the following news:
09-Mar-2011 10:09am
We have bought 500 Food on the market.

09-Mar-2011 10:08am
We have bought 1,000 Food on the market.

We have bought 500 Food on the market.

09-Mar-2011 10:05am
We have bought 500 Food on the market.

in total, this amounts to 5000 food. My total amount of food was now showing 5180, while is should have been somewhere around 6-7K at least.
As shown by the posts in the in-game discussion, this isn't the first time this occurs.

The Glitch is Back, now I am out the Gold I paid for the wood and apparently I am out the wood as well.

Any ideas on what can be done aside from not leaving an open bid to buy anything on the market for over a day. I have not had any issues when I buy things instantly, just when I leave orders to buy for stuff at a lower than current market price.
