I am Troy Ogilvie, from North Texas, and new to the forum. Scotland is the home of my ancestors, and is the origin of what I hold dear. Bagpipes are a special interest for me. I have attended the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games for many years, where some of the world's best pipers play. My particular favorite is Aaron Shaw of the Wicked Tinkers. What a wonderful piper he is.
Anyway, I am glad to have found this site, and will be an active participant.
Welcome Troyo from a fellow Texan. It is a pleasure to meet you. You have found the greatest music and the greatest people. Someday I hope to go to the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games. Enjoy.

Hey neighbor, I am in the Rockwall/Royse City area...practically next door. Welcome to the best place for Celtic minds on the net. I need someone to tell me what is available for Celtic stuff (as well as great pubs) in this area as I have just moved back after many, many years away.
Welcome to the forum. I was down there once visiting my father in law in Rusk, TX for a week. Loved San Antonio's riverwalk. Hope to get back down someday and see Dallas and some more of Austin. Have fun here! There lots of good music and good people. Come back often.
