Ahh, the fun of longing for the biggest and the best. I want an NV40, but just found out for certain that my fears were true. It's not going to do a lick of good for me to get an NV40 until I get a much larger power supply to feed it. Looks like a 480 Watt power supply is the lowest recommended for this card. I have a 400 in Lugh that is already powering three hard drives, a DVD burner, Athlon XP 2800, 2 floppy drives, and enough fans to trigger a tropical storm.

While I'm at it why don't I just save up a couple grand and do it right! Get two NV40's ohh, that'll need 1000 Watts of juice, get me an nForce 4 based motherboard... Which will require a 64 bit CPU, probably new RAM... EGADS! all this other was on my long term wish list, but I wasn't going to do it all right now! Asside from the aged vieo card, Lugh is a fine box.

Wasn't going to build a whole new one... One thing about it, I know where the leftovers could go... Putting them all together would still make for one fine box.
