I haven't heard of it. But from what I read on this thread, seems it is worth watching!

I just recently watched "the village" an m. night shamalyan film. And it was really good. A lot of people categorize it as horror but in my opinion it was more suspensful. Adrien Brody was in the movie and did an awesome job! I thought it was a good movie. I'm sorry I didn't watch it sooner!

And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

I really liked that show too. I didn't see it as a horror film either, more suspenseful like you said. biggrin.gif

I can't wait to see this movie. Apocalypto. I hope its good. I don't know much about the Mayan culture and that is one thing Mel Gibson likes to do is tell history. I think it said it comes out December 8th. So anyone who goes to it let me know if its any good please...

Finally got to see Circle of Friends. Here I thought it was going to be one of those sappy love/romance movies but it actually was quite good. Just enough background politics to start the mind thinking. Most romance movies could happen without any rconnection to the world but here the real world (at the time) has a strong part to play in what happens. And of course its irish.

For the first time in a long while, I watched RoboCop tonight. I'm at my parents' house, house-sitting for them and they have cable with "on demand" programming. I was scrolling through the free movies and saw RoboCop on there and thought I'd watch it. I'd forgotten that Kurtwood Smith, who played Red on "That '70s Show" was in it. I kept expecting him to call Peter Weller's character a "dumb---" biggrin.gif . Also, one of Kurtwood Smith's characters henchmen played Vice President Gardner on "24" this past season.

Just watched "City Of God" on DVD.

Very powerful and shocking film of drug gangs in the Rio "favela" (ghetto).

One of the best films I have seen in ages ! thumbs_up.gif

Since moving out on my own, I have had the opportunity to catch up on some movies I've been wanting to see but never got the opportunity. Some of them include The Crow, The Village, Underworld, Into the Blue and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Excellent movies all!

If you haven’t seen Captains Courageous in a while, you know the one with Spencer Tracy. I suggest seeing it again…

Let's see...last movies I went to....ShadowDF and I saw The Departed w/ Jack Nicholson, Leo Decaprio, and Matt Damon....really good film actually. It's definately a different take on mob politics.

After that one we went to see The Prestige (Michael Cain, Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale)....a total brain bender if you're not paying attention! Well worth seeing this one on the big screen though. I got pulled in easily. And David Bowie....hell I didn't even recognize him as Tesla!

The last movie I went to was The Prestige. Fun movie. I have a dear friend Lord Silvermane who is our camp Majician and he has taken me to secret shows and it was good to see a little into the inside of what he does.

Watched a while back Beowulf and Grendel (a Gerard Butler Movie - so a must have for me) also was at the movies and watched Santa Clause 3 - The Escape Clause (not as good as the first 2 ones but still good) and yesterday I was watching the BBC series Hamish MacBeth (is available on Netflix - as a two disc set).

Other than that - I watched RV, The Break-Up (was that great in my opinion) and Click (that was a good movie - my husband said he wanted to check out the Beyond section at Bed, Bath and Beyond biggrin.gif )
