I'm fullblooded Irish (just found out 6 months ago! ) My husband and I were discussing baby names the other day, and I'd really like to name my chilldren with Irish or Celtic names, My son is goint to be Aiden Beryl, and my I want my daughters first name to be Jewel but her middle name to mean Music, Melody or Harmony in Irish or Celtic. All I have found so far is Sile & Eddiaah (or something like that) Can anyone help? Thanks so much

Love, Peace, & Happiness,

Joy

Welcome from the Navajo Nation. I could help with Native American names, but I would not be too good at Celtic! I am sure there will be a good group of folks here willing and able to help.

Hope you enjoy the forum and the music. Have a Merry Christmas!

I'm not one for names, but there is one Scottish Gaelic term with the definition you describe which sounds almost identical to a girl's name.

Ceilidh

not sure just how strong the links are. The name itself may or may not be ment as an anglicized version of this word, and it's not common enough for me to be sure of the spellings that match that pronunciation.
