| I wonder what people have heard about the World Trade Center movie that is coming out next week. I saw United 93 and was impressed with how well they told the story of that flight and how factual it seemed. I'm hoping that the World Trade Center movie will be also. |

It's a Hollywood production with name stars. Since it is an event that is so recent and will be playing in front of potentially millions of people who were very close to what was happening and directly affected by it, one would think they'd have to do it accurately, whatever that means. But in fact the city itself has never been in complete agreement on so many of the facts, that all you can say is "good luck". I saw a preview of it before another movie, and was very shaken by it. I doubt I will go to see it. |

| The trouble with this for me is motivation. I doubt seriously whether "Holy"wood is making a tribute movie, mainly because of such enormous costs in making films at all. Then from a bottom line perspective, how odious is an exploitation flick? Sickeningly so in my opinion. Yeah, people have commented on how well the Flight 93 film was made, but look at the nature of the comments. They usually center around it NOT being exploitive or being respectful of the actual lives lost etc....meaning that that expecation was there for it to be otherwise and people are relieved it wasn't. Doesn't it seem likely that the true measure of respect would have been to not make a film about it all unless it was a documentary? To milk the public's wallet by playing on collective sympathies and feelings of enormous loss in a recent tragedy might be financially clever, but from a standpoint of true human concern its disingenuous at best, loathesome at worst and evidence of the fact that "Holywood's" greed knows no bounds, nor does the ingenuity of their marketing departments in sensing the reality TV conditioned acclimatization of the public to exploito-genre. Of course I say this w/o having seen the either the Flight 93 or WTC movie. Nor will I for the reasons above. |

| I will be going to see WTC movie just as I went to see Flight 93, with an open heart and a few tissues just incase. There's nothing wrong with going to see a movie no matter what the subject of it may be. Everyone has their own personal reasons for not seeing this movie or that. So what. You don't want to see it you don't have to go. I want to see this. I am much to removed from the events to have been affected by them...maybe this movie will bring me some understanding. So you stay home if you wish...I'm going. |

| Why does the phrase Capitalist Pig come to mind, when I think of seeing either of these movies? I rather watch Loose Change Second Edition again. |
