Hi everyone!

Well, we are back home in one piece. A bit jet lagged, but back.
It was a grand time! The weather was great for the most part. ( actually, we had every kind of weather possible, but it wasn't bad... :;):

I will fill everyone in more later... have to go close on the house in a hour....

Just wanted to say hi to everyone....

:p
Cheers!

Catriona, that old saw about four seasons in one day also has held true on many a day here in Chicago :D .

Hi everyone! Sorry it has taken so long to get back ... getting ready to move, work and playing 2-3 times a week, its been crazy.
The trip was GREAT! I was not that fond of London, neat place to see. i just wouldn't want to spend A LOT of time there.

Strafford upon Avon was beautiful! I loved it. Not too crazy with people. Very relaxing. York was also very cool!!! Loved just walking around and checking out the old viking and Roman infulences. Very neat, I would love to go back there.

Scotland, what can I say. I LOVED IT! Glasgow was built up more than I thought. But we found a few pubs that were really nice! ( Thanks for the help Jules) :)  Edin. OMG! Wish i had more time to spend there. We were there and it was the queens Bday celebration. There was a 21 gun salute! That was cool!
Stirling left me with the sence of sadness and joy. Just to see that battle sight was very stiring to the sences. You can see where the English had come from  and Stirling castle in the distance. WOW...

Well, i guess i should get to work... will post more ASAP.

Welcome back, barddas! Great ye liked it over here. Aye, Alba is a beautiful place, touching to heart and soul, especially when ye go to see the historic sites. I had a similar experience when i visited some of the clearance villages in Strathnaver at the end of March. It honestly felt weird to walk among these stone walls which have not 200 years before a flourishing community with children and dogs running about. I can really say that was touching and good work by those who are setting up that Strathnaver trail. Highly recommendable, and educational. Apart from that it's a place of striking beauty.  :)
