Found a misguided Hezel on a website with free familyname search in Arran and Argyle. No clue whatsoever or whether its got to do something with my family but its the same name and the same spelling and i would just love to find out. So any information about this or where i could get this information would be greatly appreciated. It is almost certain that they appeared before the cencus in 1855 in some of the recods. Thanks again for yer help!

Aye, Catriona, could weel be! Just would like to be sure. Theres a vague possibility that it also could derive from an alamanic Prince who was known in my birth area in the tenth century. His name was Hezelo. But one should never give up hope .... Of course I meant Argyll lol Always those dyslexic keys
