Camchak, somewhere in the first few pages of this thread, there was a list of potential sites. PA is just one. If you know any good ones nearby, nominate "em. Or check them out and let us know.

If age is a learning experience, I should be a genius by now...
So are most of the CR members from the area where the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will be held?
Dale:
We originally asked those who had an interest in coming to some kind of event to say where they lived and we would try to center the get together within the majority who showed an interest. We have determined, that Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and maybe some parts of Illinois are the areas we need to concentrate on. That may change, if more members decide they want to come. Nothing is set yet. We are still in the planning stage and looking for the right place that will be able to handle our needs. Since not many others have showed an interest since, we are still looking at the same areas.
I posted the pictures because that was one of the Fests on our list and if everything stays the same as now, that will be one of the sites that the membership can pick from for the final site. The Celtic Fling meets all of the requirements that we need.
We will be posting an updated list of those that are being considered at this point, very soon. We had to eliminate some because they did not meet the specs.
Anything else you need to know or have thoughts about, Annabelle or myself will try to help you out.
Wonder pics Egan!! Can't waite till the final list so we can choose. It's going to be so much fun, no matter where we choose.

"They That Wait Upon The LORD, Shall Renew Their Strength, They Shall Mount Up With Wings As Eagels, They Shall Run, And Not Be Werry; They Shall Walk, And Not Faint." ISAIAH 40:31
That looks like a great site and I for one like it! I have not seen a site yet that would rival this one, and I am sure it will be in the top 3 to chose from when the time comes. 2008 being the, date there is plenty of time to look around. Thanks again for the pics!
Well, Dale, I can tell you first hand, that the Bethlehem fest is as good, if not better then the Celtic Fling. Since I have now been to both.
The more I think about it, my opinion, the Bethlehem fest is actually a better fest but we run into a camping problem. The closest camping we are finding, is about 15-20 miles away. At the Celtic Fling, camping was 2 miles away and they were offering what ever our needs would be.
So, as you can see, we will have a tough time choosing when it comes time to pick the right fest for our needs. Do we travel a lot to campsites for the benefit of a better fest or go with the convenience of campsites for a lesser fest. In Bethlehem, hotels are abundant in the area but at the Fling, you need to do a bit of traveling for hotels. Plus, there will be other factors involved when we decide. Just showing that as an example of what we have to think about when we get around to voting.
If you can swing it in September. Fly up to Allentown, Pa. Airport (ABE). The Hampton Inn we are all staying at, is 10 minutes away from the airport. The more people who show up to check the fest out and give their thoughts and opinions, will make it easier for all to decide. Besides, you need a long weekend vacation, right?

I have a feeling there will be a dozen official photographers at the thing.

If we could just stand here, without the words, would that be enough? ..Look at the sky now. What color is it? Or the way a hawk flies. Or you wake up and your ribs are bruised thinking so hard on somebody. What do you call that?

That's all right, Mike, I'm gonna bring my camera too, so the ladies have somethink to look at too! I'm sure there will be TOS (testosterone on stage) bands there!
And rightfully so, Josie. I can think of a few ladies on here that would be drooling and hootin' and hollerin' for you to bring them on. I'll not name them. I think you have a pretty good idea.
Maybe we need to start a new thread just for that. Picturebook of the Hot Lass and Lassies of the Celtic Fests. What do you think?
I think that starting threads like that would be grounds for a TOS (Terms Of Service) action ...
