I suppose you don't know Dan Ar Braz, a breton musician (great guitarist) and singer, very famous in France and creator of The Celts Heritage. I would love to hear his music on CR, even if it's not really my "cup of tea"...I prefer something more punchy like Boxty or Anthony Chaplain des Côtes d'Armor...but I'll speak of them later
Here's the official site of Dan Ar Braz where you can listen to some extracts of his last album :
Que restera-t-il de notre sang mêlé au sel, sans trace dans les mémoires ? Une ultime navigation, trompeuse. Et des souvenirs, illuminés d'embruns. Mais condamnés au silence de la mer... Loïc Finaz.

Thought I would drop some of my favs. I like Cucanandy, a local band out of NC, they have a couple of cds out. Also I have been listening to Kin'sha, definately edgy trad dance music but great to listen to. Lunasa, Kevin Mc Cormack, absolute fab, plus Frankie Kennedy from Altan, greatly missed, though still huge fan of the band. I could go on & on & on....
http://www.flook.co.uk .....great Music I saw the live in Germany a few Months ago. And i wouldnt mind if you could add some more songs by Niamh Parsons
May I suggest a San Diego based band calledHighland Way that performs all around San Diego and the San Diego Highland Games. I think they are quite good.

Saw Danny Dole play at the Irish Inn at Glen Echo, outside of DC. He's appearing again tomorrow. Very talented and fun, wide range of music. And, surprise, he'll sell you one of his 5 CDs. I bought one of each.
BOXTY is a Breton group I love. They play Irish music with their particular energy. Macfive, you should play their music on CR...
Here's a link for their official site (sorry, it's in French), but you can listen to 2 songs of their last album Seisiun : "Coming home" and "Step it out Mary"
May dragons bring you wealth and guard your treasures May they banish darkness and enlighten you May female dragons grant you inner power May the Dragon Queen neutralize your enemies May Dragon Spirits give you power over Elementals May weather dragons bring rain at your request May Ti'amat effect the changes you command May Ishtar grant you Dragon Power May Ishtar grant you Dragon Power
I would like to suggest an italian celtic band called Lingalad http://www.lingalad.com They play a very inspired music, they have made 3 album, the first is "voci dalla terra di mezzo" (voices from the middle earth) inspired by the Lord of the ring.
I downloaded one of their songs Xabaras, it's beautiful, very soft !
I would like to tell you something about Brian Mc Combe Brian Mc Combe is an Irishman who migrated to Brittany. He arrived in January 2002 with a camping car, a set of bagpipes, a voice and... "five euros in his pocket". His album, The voice of the blood is a tribute to Ireland and to Scotland, even if they are far away, they are always in his heart and above all in his music. Singing on Breton musics and lyrics, as well as pure Irish compositions, Brian Mc Combe has a voice which is not be forgoten
Some extracts here (it's on the middle of the page ) :
I have a couple of requests, both groups have been around for a long time but the music holds up very well.
Dervish has been around for a while and they are still together and releasing new CDs.
Planxty is an old group that is no longer together but they reunited last year and did a great live CD.
Finally, Betsy McGovern, of Irish Bayou Music, who with her band, The Poor Clares, rocked Festival International (a mostly French music festival) the year the theme was the Celtic connection. My personal favorite CD was Change of Habit but they were all good.
