First off.....Barddas, a belated congratulations on being Moderator of this board!! smile.gif
You'll do a grrrrreat job !!

Now, I know the title of this post may cause many a brow to rise, but trust me... it is the name of a great Celtic band. 'Enter The Haggis'

Perhaps some of ye here in Canada have heard of them or seen them at the Pub. I first saw them in concert two years ago and have seen them again once more since then. They have at least a couple CD's out and a new one on the way I believe. They are taping a special for PBS soon, that will air in the new year and are currently touring North America.

They are a great bunch of lads....and their music is wonderful. They have worked so hard in the past years and their careers are really starting to take off.

If possible, I'd love to hear them here at CelticRadio.

This is the link to their website. If there is any other information that ye need, just say the word and I'll do m'best to find it.

They are a lot of fun. I first saw them at a pub in Kingston, Ontario. We were set up at the Kingston Celtic Festival at Old Fort Henry about 4 or 5 years ago. The festival closed down at around 6:00 p.m. each night so we went into town and we went into a pub named Tir na nÓg for a drink. We had no idea who the band was and really had no intention of staying out late. We ended up staying until close.

*lol*.....yes, they have a way of doing that to people. Both times we've seen them in the Pub it has been standing room only...and quite often not even that.

Whew! That had me McSweatin' for a minute till I read back far enough to find the link. Sounded like a prostate exam or something..glad you all weren't talking about me!

RON

(BTW: for the uninitiated, "McHaggis" is the name of a brass arrangement I wrote for the Racine Kilties Senior Drum & Bugle Corps out of Wisconsin....so called because it had all kinds of Scottish McTunes mixed up in it....and based on an old corps joke about pulling into Mickey Dee's before 11Am on the way to a gig, dressed in their kilted uniforms and ordering the McHaggis in a deep Scottish accent.)
