New Show, New Show in the Works

We've got some exciting news to tell you about for Highlander Radio. Coming for 2016 we will be producing a 2 minute show that will be rotated in occasionally with our Highlander Radio broadcast.

This idea is still being percolated, so we have not even decided on what to call the show, but it will be a short clip of historical information about a wide range of topics. There will be background effects too that will be consistent with the topic.

Some examples would be St. Patrick, Braveheart, The Highland Clearances, The Irish potato famine, etc.

The show will be hosted by a retired broadcaster from the BBC and ultimately could produce hundreds of shows. He has been helping us with some of our station IDs and you might have heard him on Highlander Radio or some of our other channels.

If you have any ideas on what to call the show or suggestion for episodes, post them here.

That's very cool and I think Shadow is onto something! Good idea for a name.

Can't wait to see how all this plays out! How are we doing on listening hours to get to become a premium station again with radionomy? (Sorry if I misspelled that!)

Good news with the listening hours - Highlander Radio has now met the required and Celtic Moon and Celt-Rock-Radio are well on their way.

All three of these channels are now listed on TuneIn.com. Confident that Celtic Moon and Celt-Rock-Radio will met the 130 hours a month listening requirement now that we are listed on TuneIn.com. That should help get those over the top.

Celtic Dance Tavern is lagging a bit behind. Hope Radionomy will allow us to keep this channel going as we have a real nice mix of old tunes and jigs/reels to keep things lively.

Just an update on our forth coming shows. Due to the work involved with creating and producing our Celtic Radio Network App; we are pushing back the time line for these shows.

Will probably start working on this project around mid-year or later. Will post more details as we have them.
