Flora

I put about 4 hours into it (included drawing the knotwork from scratch as I have not done the smart thing and bought a knotwork generating program)

Thanks to everyone for their nice compliments! I hope that I am able to sell some. I have 3, 5, and 7 strand mystery braid bracelets that can be done in custom colors as well (school colors, SCA outfit colors, college colors, etc...)i need to update my photos on celticradio as well so everyone can keep abreast of what I have done/can do.

Mystery braids... I have been doing those for over 40 years... nice work though!

I wish you would contact Celtic Radio about this... it seems like advertisement to me.

I don't put my leathercrafts in the forums... they belong in ths ads if you ask me...

My personal opinion!

I have a suggestion for both Jayhenson and Shadows. Why not contact Paul about putting the Celtic Radio knot design (the one in the triangle) on some wrist bands and marketing them through the Celtic Radio store. I expect that they would be made by the order rather than ahead of time. A line of leatherwork mingt be profitable both for y'all and Celtic Radio.

My point is not who makes these ( I don't want to fool with them ), it is that this could be considered SPAM...
The forums are not the place to push one's wares...
We have a place for that...

I suggest this person contact CR about selling their goods either through the web store or place a ligitamte ad in the advertising section of this site.

That was my point.

Shadows,
Thank you, you make a very good and valid point. I agree that it would be better in the shopping section and I will talk to Paul about doing just that. I am still new to doing this as a business, moving out of "hobby to make gifts for friends" to "hobby to help pay the mortgage" and I get a tad overzealous. I hope you will forgive me this time and not think too badly of me.

Peace

Jay

I have posted my link in the shopping section of the weblinks page. It was an error in judgment for me to have pimped my site in the forum and actually could be considered kinda rude and I apologize to anyone that got annoyed at the [not so] young upstart I just made myself appear to be. I shall strive to get back into your good graces.

Peace

Whoops, sorry jayhenson guess I was looking at it from a shoppers point of view and not a moderators.. TheCarolinaScotsman had a great idea though and I would buy it. Like Shadows said get ahold of Celtic Radio. I am glad you found the links menu. I will look for your wares in the future. Good luck to you and I hope you sell many. "Now this thread will self destruct" I had to say that just kidding however it may be moved, locked or link disabled.

This is an excellent idea. I am going to check out the link, sorry for the delay in posting in this thread.

Just so everyone knows, long term members of Celtic Radio or even members that have been on for a few months. If you have craft or website that you are trying to get noticed, feel free to post it in our forums.

What we try to discourage are repeated posts over and over or a member that signs up and starts posting advertisements as soon as he is a member.

With this economy we want to try to help out members as best we can, so if posting some details about your product or craft, feel free!
