I have been asked by my church to think about putting on a Burns Dinner this coming January or February. We do have a number of Scotts in the area so attendance should not be a problem. My questions are:

1) Does anyone know who or are I can pick up Haggis in the greater Boston area?

2) Does anyone any Scottish caterers in the Southern NH region?

3) If I have to engage volunteer cooks can some recommend an easy Scottish cookbook?

I have attend Burns Dinners so I have a good idea as to what the program should look like, but if you had one thing that must be done make the evening a more memorable one please share it with me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If there is righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
So let it be.

One thing that is a must. Try to find a real Scot for the address to the Haggis. I've been to so many dinners where they had someone with a bad Scottish accent trying to do the address. Also, I've seen some people do an abbreviated address. Didn't like that either. One thing that I have seen that's nice is to have the address printed in the evening's program.

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.
