I am doing pre screening for a song/album contest and I want to make sure that I do not clear traditional songs as original work. If anyone out there really knows their stuff and would let me send a list of names that I don't know I would really appreciate it.
Regardless I will post them here just to keep my bases covered and to prevent me from looking stupid (at least more stupid than I usually look )
Thanks
Mikel

I am screening for Traditional Songs I have to come up with original songs for the Celtic Song of the year catagory and I would feel really stupid if I put an obscure traditional song in as an original.
The Traditional albums will still be in the running for Celtic Album of the year.
mmh.. anything specific in mind? flower of scotland is by the corries btw and auld lang syne, my love is like a red red rose, ae fond kiss, a man's a man and alot of other stuff is by robert burns... If you have any special song in mind it would be easier to find out though

so it looks to me as if I have 3 brave volunteers. I am still deep in screening. I will post any questionable titles(ie. titles that I am not sure are original) that I find and see if any of you identify them as traditional.
