"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."

Gee, that really makes me feel welcome. This is a fun site. I am enjoying making new friends and being my normal foolish self. Besides, there are a lot of interesting discussions in progress. I just hope I don't annoy anybody so much that they track me down and beat up on me. That's my wife's job.

The heart may think it knows better, the senses know that absence blots people out. We really have no absent friends. The friend becomes a traitor by breaking, however unwillingly or sadly, out of our own zone: a hard judgment is passed on him, for all the pleas of the heart. ...........Elizabeth Bowen
Greetings all, I am Makerofmead aka Bryan. I thought I'd post a little introduction of myself. I currently live in central Florida, and I am earning my AAS degree in Sign Language Interpreting at Daytona Beach Community College. I have been walking a pagan/celtic path for about 3 1/2 years now. I've been involved in meade making for about 2 1/2 years, and have gotten quite well at it. At least no one has told me otherwise. Did someone say MEADE?? Yes!! I also have a hand for woodcrafting, I craft Personal Books of Shadows/Journals and have started turning goblets and bowls. I came across this site merely by chance, but I am glad that I did, I spent my first time logged on here in a chat room with some of you and you all were very nice to me. What a community spirita, I felt welcome immediately. I look forward to some great conversations and connections with you all in the future. Btw my heritage splits me from Germany (father) & Italian+++ (mother). Moms side of the family brings in some Irish. What a mix, but within me I hear the call of Eire.
Merry Meet, Bryan
