Mickey is the real deal, a genuine talented Irish folk singer and songwriter. I've been listening to his music for a year now, "Carefully Crafted" is the first album I've bought in years that I enjoy listening to all the way through, over and over again.

Such a good album, contemporary Irish folk music at its best.

I was just looking at the purchasing info for Carefully Crafted, through Amazon the cd is $28 and change. Might be better to order it through his website, Mickey used to ship them himself...so you get his autograph as well! Not sure if he does that still. Or through cdbaby. The download price is only $8.99. Check out last year's album, Mother's Lullaby, while you're there - more great songs!

Wow! What a song - the lyrics, the music!

Mickey Coleman "Brantry Boy"

Mickey wrote it about a good friend of his, Cormac McAnallen, a young Gaelic footballer who died of sudden cardiac arrest. I love listening to this song....although it is sad.
