Hi All, Lloyd Clark here, Jouster, Swordsman, and Friend of EMTs Everywhere! I presently own and joust with the Kings Champions Joust Troupe which can be seen at the following shows in 2005: Camelot Medieval Mydsommer Fayre - Wiscosnin Western Michigan Renaissance Faire - Michigan Silverleaf Renaissance Faire - Michigan Ohio Renaissance Faire - Ohio Green Bay Agricultural Fair - Wisconsin Illinois Renaissance Fair - Illinois Lanzefest in New Glarus - Wisconsin Lakewood Renaissance Faire - New Jersey Camelot Medieval Harvest Fayre - Wisconsin I personally will not be at all, but come by and say hi just the same. I have a joust team in the European Jousting League, but we have not competed in any EJL events as yet. I am the International Jousting Association Central USA Director and one of two IJA jousting instructors in North America. I am also the Jousting/Equestrian Combat Arts Instructor for the Schola St. George School of Western Martial Arts and am currently working on the Equestrian Combat contained in both Fiore and Talhoffer's fight manuals. I finished 3rd in the World at last years World Jousting Championships. Did not compete this year and am have decided to "hang up the spurs" at the end of this season (24 years of jousting is plenty). I am President of the Historic Camelot Project, a Wisconsin Nonprofit Educational Organization that provides historical programs for school children and other youth groups. In my spare time, I am the Senior Policy Analyst at the Wisconsin Medical Society and a PhD candidate in Medieval History. Last, but certainly not least, I am husband to my beautiful wife, Lisa, and father to our beautiful daughter, Sarah. |

A warm welcome to you Lloyd! Here I have spent all summer explaining to my almost 9 year old son that people don't REALLY use swords anymore and thus he cannot have a really sword...when I find...in fact...people do! I'll say nothing to him about jousting or next he'll be asking for a horse! I'd love to hear more about what excatly you do..where you do it and how you got into it in the first place! Everyone here at CR is verra friendly...there is great music and friends to be found so welcome again! amy:) |

Thanks for the warm welcome. As for jousting stories - I have lots, but I'll wait for a cold winter's day to start telling them Amy, my 3 year old daughter loves your fairies (I know you hear that a lot, but I just had to tell you!). Cheers, Lloyd |

Welcome to the Forum! You will enjoy it here there are a lot of friendly people here. You have got quite a resume there. I went to the Ohio Renaissance Faire last year. In fact the last few years. I enjoy watching the jousting. It is really great to see these people and their horse doing this. Btw I like your name it was my grand fathers name and my dad's middle name. It is not one you hear to often. [SIZE=7]welcome |

Hail and be welcome! I've probably seen you around...summer before last I took several road trips to other Faires with my girlfriends, and I know I hit Ohio Ren. Lakewood's starting to sound familiar too. I myself am a denizen of the Greater Pittsburgh Ren Faire...but not this year; I'm a little indisposed and can't take the heat. LOL Get in, get comfy, and enjoy your stay! Ale's in the keg, Guinness is behind the bar, and mead is in my cooler, just ask. Siobhan MacDermott Wench Cum Laude #760 IWG |

Lloyd...ohhh thank you, thank you and thank you - HOWEVER - I better clarify..my name is Amy but not THE Amy Brown of famed fairy art...I do thank you though...I love her artwork myself and sport a tattoo of her fame. But sadly, ::sniff, sniff:: I do not have a lick of artist talent....Your daughter has great taste though and for one so young!! Thanks again...Amy |

Wow Lloyd how did you get into Jousting?? When I was a kid I went to my first Ren fest and have always wanted to do that. I just hung around the jousting tents and missed most of the rest of the fest. Randy |
