This will most likely be my last post for a few days (unless I get on the 'puter for a few minutes in the morning!) We are leaving on vacation tomorrow morning! We're just going camping for a few days at a local lake, but I have never been camping before, so I'm sure it will be an adventure! If I don't pop in for a minute in the morning, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will be back shortly!
Take care and God bless!

Camping is a great way to spend quality time with your family. My folks bought their first camping trailer when I was 5. My husband and I started out with a tent and now have a 33ft 5th wheel travel trailer. Our own kids camp with their families; one in a tent and the other in a pop-up camper. The grandkids love it!!! Enjoy yourself!!
Camping is an adventure, some of us do it every day of our lives. Why just last night I arrived home to find everything I own on the front porch. ohhh... well... that's another story.

Have fun Wizard ! Camping is a great experience, sometimes a bit rough...specially when you do savage camping (I don't know if you say that in english ).
Herrerano, I hope everything's all right...

Looks like you just said it just fine. And everything is just peachy, no problem, like I said it was another story, but one I have fully explained now on another thread, in a different forum, on a world far far away, in a universe where all is ordered and done with measured reason.
Oh, man. You're going to have a blast, wether your wife does or not. Here's a list of things you need, that usually slips a persons mind before they go.
-rain pancho/jacket -hatchet -newspaper -TOILET PAPER -flashlight -fold up chairs -more blankets than you think you'll ever need -one more set of clothes than days of camping -a lighter
Oh, and if you're anything like Ange and I, make sure the tent is in the truck before you leave the house. We got outside the city when Ange asked if we had it. Good thing she thought of it before we went to set up camp.

Celtica, I think what you wanted to say was primitive camping. when you just take what you can carry in on your back. But I like your word too!
I just check on my dictionnary and it seems the right expression is "camping in the wild" or "camp rough"...wild, savage, primitive, all that sounds a bit adventurous... it's reminds me funny situations, maybe one day I'll tell you !
Hope you're having a great time Wizard! (she notices the time, and realizes they're already gone ). You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back, of course-we'll expect a good story!
Camping is fun. My parents made sure all of us kids experienced it in many different forms, from pup tents to cabins. I much prefer cabins, with NO t.v. or phones, thank you!! Roasted marshmallows, anyone?
