Bingo clubs
In some cases, licensing or registration may be required. If bingo is played for entertainment rather than for private gain, members of the public may take part without any licensing or registration being required, provided that only one payment (of not more than £4) is made by each player as an entrance fee or stake and the total value of prizes distributed during the entertainment does not exceed £400. If these conditions are not met, a bingo club licence from the local magistrates? court, together with a certificate from the Gaming Board for Great Britain, or (in the case of members? clubs) registration by the local magistrates? court, may be needed.

Anyone who gives professional paid instruction in driving a vehicle must be registered as an Approved Driving Instructor or hold a trainee?s licence to give instruction. Entertainments in public
A licence from the local authority is needed to hold any public entertainments, including music, dancing, boxing or wrestling, whether or not an admission charge is made. Certain events may be exempt from the need for a licence. The licensing of public entertainments in London is subject to separate statutory controls. On Sundays, there can be no admission fee to public dances.

Subject to certain exceptions, premises may not be used for the public showing of films or videos unless they are licensed by the local authority. There is an exemption for premises used less than six days a year and for showings conducted by non-commercial organisations, which are covered by an exemption certificate.

The Mexican section of the local Kroger store has a corn meal which includes lime as one of the ingredients, it is called Masa. I believe that is what the Mexicans use for tortillas. |

The major theme of the books seems to be overcoming prejudice. First the prejudice against intelligence (witchcraft) at Harry's foster home. Then the mixed and non-witch prejudices. That seems to imitate racism. |

If people are to be treated fairly they must have a voice in the administration of the institution, Hogwarts School for Wizards and Witches seems to be benevolent dictatorship. The example of the failure to adequately compensate Hagrid and also the failure to protect him from the abusive treatment of being expelled is an example of the consequences to powerless people, a minority in this case, half giant/ half wizard. |

Hagrid, who was expelled from Hogwarts for no good reason must have wished to have the choice to return to school many times. But he was condemned to be the groundskeeper forever with no chance to be a wizard. |

The choices we are given seem to be more a matter of chance. If someone does not have an opportunity presented to make the choice that leads to success then their potential is wasted. If Harry had never been sent to Hogwarts then he would not have had the chance to make Wizardry his choice. |

The Stonehenge explanation I have read says that it was an early seat of government or castle forunner of the megalithic type. This type of architecture is represented by the lion gate.
I have also read that the central stone lies above the grave of Urther Penndragon. The ruler of the time when it was occupied. Urther is supposedly from the word for bear. |

This post begain when I was searching for my ancestors and found a book that said they came from Plymouth and were celtic, Cornish. Then I went to celtic sites for england to find if there were any of the family left in Plymouth. I was told that there were no celtic people in Plymouth and that Plymouth never was part of Cornwall. This seems odd to me. |

The Cornwall area has a lack of income production assets and should have the port of Plymouth returned to support the rest of the area.
The punishment of Cornwall should end and Plymouth returned to provide taxes and employment for the people of Cornwall. |

Well as I understand the Plymouth port was taken from Cornwall as punishment for the rebellions.
Now that the tin mines are closed there is no income for the district of Cornwall. If Plymouth was returned to Cornwall there would be a resource for this area and a means of support for the economy. |

I would like to find the remains of Celtic culture in Plymouth and Cornwall. Especially the records of families who have lived there before Cornwall became Devonshire. I am doing genealogical research. If I can find a study of Celtic surnames of Plymouth and their meanings I would be overjoyed. Or just Celtic Surnames and their meanings. Or just Celtic surnames.  |
