I just realized that the Live365 player window has a little BUY LINK to purchase the CD. It seems this goes to amazon.com at times to look up the CD.

Highlander Radio receives no commissions nor credit for CD's that are purchased through the live365 links. If you could please make all purchases through the link on our playing page, we would really appreciate it! thumbs_up.gif

We also setup special buy links for artists because they have requested purchases to be made through a certain site. This helps them out greatly, so again both Highlander Radio and the musicians that you hear would appreciate your support on this one!

that's the way live365.com gains money
BTW, do you get commission when I click the "buy CD" over here, but I choose "the market place"?

Yes I do, a small amount, but every bit helps. Will be using the commissions this past quarter and this quarter to put towards a special printer and special inks for producing high quality T-shirts. The inks alone cost about $200-$300 - almost as much as the printer!

We have a professional T-shirt press we purchased last year, but the T-shirts just don't come out very good with regular ink jets. We will be using a dye printer that makes the T-shirts last longer. Hopefully sales will help support this site.

We will get there eventually!

I know I have said this in the past, but T-Shirts are coming. It's just that we want to do it right and not sell something that is going to fall apart in the washer or look not professional.

As I review what jobs I have left to program, I am getting excited because I could easily see the programming part all wrapped up within a few months ? maybe June/July at the latest. I think you will see a gradual shift in focus for us. As we start providing more content and actively promoting this site. When that happens this place is going to rock!

Hmmm... does this (not getting commissions) also hold true for the option to buy the track from iTunes that is available on the Mac from Live365?

--------------------
Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

No, we only get a small commission if the album is purchased through the links on our site to amazon.com.

To be honest with you, I am more concerned with certain groups that have given us BUY links to their sites. I'd rather see them make the sale, because they certainly deserve it! Without the music, we'd be twiddling are thumbs whistling dixie!
