What does everyone think of the Mel Gibson tapes? Do you think it was fair for his girlfriend to record their argument? Do you think he needs help?

I personally think it's their business and you know the media. I'm not sure about the legalities of her recording their argument with out his permission.

I think some of what he said was probably the truth and who know what she said before hand. It's not my business it is a movie stars private life that got once again in the line of fire. This is just my opinion.

I'm beginning to think he might have been setup and I have heard recently that the tapes might have been dockered.

In a way it is not fair as I am sure all peoples say things they regret in the privacy of their homes.

I always wanted to see him make a sequel to Braveheart that focused on the Robert the Bruce and how he conquered England, Scotland and part of Ireland.

Personally I could care less what befalls Mel Gibson. He made two so call heroric moves "BraveHeart and the Patriot" and both of them were so historically inaccurate that I wanted to vomit.

As long as there is money and fame involved this type activity by others will be there!

A person's personal life has no business being plastered all over the news!

I don't care if it is Mel, Obama, those Hollywood females, or whoever!

It is the public that makes these things happen, the unhealthy interest in the personal lives of the rich and famous!

Live and let Live!

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Mel rose to great heights and now has fallen to great lows (of course he still has his estimated billion dollar fortune. boo hoo crybaby.gif , poor Mel)

But when it comes right down to it he's just an actor. What he does, how he thinks, and what his problems are is no one's business except for he and God.

Camac's insight it true. It seems studying a good book is always better than watching a movie.

It seems to me that Mr. Gibson has always been taunted by a troubling spirit through life, but I have been encouraged by his faith. Martin Luther once said that if you sin, sin boldy. And it was meant in this context, that you are a sinner before God (like it or not) and that when you sin (you have and will), sin bad enough that your own conscience and perhaps even your neighbor (e.g. the police and courts, too) will do everything in their might to humble you and bring you to repentance. If you repent and believe the Gospel resting in the arms of God the Savior, you will be saved. Too many of us, just like me, sin in smaller "more decent" ways, and it can get the best of us - making us conceited self-righteous prats.

Just my thoughts...

I truly belive that he is not acting in that movie... it is an in site to his soul!

Sure, Camac.

Well, you just have to love the soundtrack for Braveheart, even if the truthfulness of events in the movie are wrong. I just heard the following song played: The Celtic Pipes & Strings - Braveheart Trilogy [5:44] - Heart Of The Highlands. Fantastic piece of music.

It is truly a sad thing that well known people have their peccadillo's exposed in such a manner. There are only two people in the world that actually know the truth.

I have come to the conclusion a long time ago that it becomes necessary to separate the personal from the professional. Otherwise there would fewer entertainment choices available.

Overall the entire situation is bad. I do think he is imploding. What happens from here is totally up to him. I wish him luck.

I read this morning that he has sold his house in New York State and is selling the one in Malibu. Seems he is going back to Australia and his ex-wife and some of his kids are going with him. If the report is true he has turned to his ex for support. Maybe he is realzing how badly he has screwed up. His career in the states is more than likely toast so he is going back downunder to get away.

PS: The soundtrack from BH is quite nice.

In my opinion I don't think this will hurt his career at all. If nothing, it is more lime light. He may disappear if he is lucky, but I really think he will be back.

Can't get rid of one of the best Actors of all time that easy. I do still think this is his private life and hopefully will be treated as so in the future.

How many of us could stand up to the constant invasion of our private lives and come out looking like a saint?

I bet not many!
