One Line Poem

I thought I'd swipe an idea from the short story area and start a round-robin style poem to see what we could come up with.

Just write a single line to the poem. Please attempt not to contribute successive lines.



The stars look down from above,

Perhaps consecutive would have been a better choice of words. ... I really wish I could edit old posts.

Lighting the world below

That looks back up at them

Admiring their joyful glow

Some longing to be closer

To feel the earthen touch

As those bound to the earth

Long to hold them in their clutch

(Not the greatest rhyme, and the meter is off, but touch is a hard word to find a rhyme for! Sorry! )

Both wishing to be the other

They somehow fail to see

That though the other shines

Lighting the darkest nights,

Can I write in spanish?
Well, in the middle...

Soul lips kissing the air,
fire fingers touching the sky.
May be this time
you an I
can dance, up to the light.
May be you
may be I
from now, from this land
can join the past
to live in dreams
to become it reals....

I kown that is so strange, but is the first time that I writte in English a poem, so excuseme. I`m from Argentina, if you want somethig better, you must know spanish!!
