I enjoyed the idea of Santa as a child. It made it exciting and hard to sleep on Christmas Eve. After I got to thinking about it I remembered what it felt like to find out there was no Santa. Somehow I remember and it wasn't a very fun realization but I must have gotten over it. smile.gif

In answer to the question I think its ok to let your kids just "figure it out".

Very interesting post all of you. I am envious of those especially who can walk or drive a few minutes to view a castle. I hope to spend some time in those Castles that now serve as hotels. Thank you for sharing a piece of history with me all of you. smile.gif

I have a special interest in Castles and Medevil Architecture. I thought I would share this web site with you. Its Celtic Castles and has many good web sites about Castles through England, Ireland and Scotland. Some of you may already know of this site and its a great one!

Have any of you had the opportunity to stay in a castle? I would love to visist several throughout the UK while visiting. Maybe someday I will be able to!

Cheers.

I think that both are importnant. I would like to say I have ancestors from many places. It makes me feel more connected to people all over the world. I think it is fun to listen to my gran tell me stories about ancestors from many countries.

I am quite lazy and unimaginative at times....and at others quite the opposite.
So I used the simple sjboren for Scott Jacob Boren.

Well I don't know enough about Scotland yet but there are a few things/places I would visit.

Loch Lommond and surrounding area. Clan MacFarlane was supposed to have been in the area.

All the beautiful castles on hte Islands!

Edinburgh and Aberdeen
