Procession and Fire Festival, the Night Afore Fiesta, and the
world famous Royal Bank Street Party. As in previous years,
entrance to the Royal Bank Street Party is free of charge,
but admission is by pass only.

New Year's Day events include the Hogmanay Triathlon, Huskies
at Holyrood and the invigorating Loony Dook in the River
Forth! Ticketed events are set to include the Concert in the
Gardens, the New Year Revels, the Candlelit Concert in the
Cathedral and the Hogmanay Club.

Partake in four fabulous days of amazing events throughout
the city, with processions, music, dance, carnivals,
fireworks and lots, lots more. A vibrant blend of Scottish
and international entertainment, massed pipes and drums, the
world’s biggest ceilidh, the Latin Carnival Stage, the best
showcase of international street theatre in the UK. First
Foot Club First Footing is an age-old Scottish tradition,
which brings together friends, relatives, visitors and
strangers to share the unbelievable atmosphere and excitement
of New Year celebrations.

Wow! Makes you want to spend New Years in Scotland! I wonder if you can get anything on TV about their festivities?

Well New Years for me is usually spent ordering out chinese food, half awake half asleep with a glass of wine....but then around 11:40 I wake up all of the kids, drag out some pots and pans and have the kids whoop it up at 12:00, we then usually stay up until 2:00 a.m!

:rolleyes

:) Well our family usually gets together over crackers & cheese, chips, pop & other goodies and watches TV. At midnight we go outside and shoot off a few fireworks.
