I am being held prisoner in Annabelle's dungeon. She is feeding me on a diet of soda bread (not bad) and milk (Yuck!!!!). Please send a cake with a file in it, and a case of Tullamore Dew.
Love,
Maisky
Here some twinkies. And two cases of Tullamore Dew. Enjoy!

I find it interesting that being called a 'mod troll' is often not a bad thing here Take it on context each time, of course. But I don't see it used in any neagtive way in this thread at least.
Crawling out of the end of a tunnel, the jester brushes some of the dirt off of his clothes, muttering: Milk!! Ick!! "Now I will have to hide from Annabelle and her evil henchpersons". He staggers off into the Georgia woods......

That never did make sense to me, seeing as a Forum Troll is a truely evil being everywhere else on the web. It's like calling someone a Terrorist as a compliment.

I would not take any offense at being called a Mod Troll, because I don't think anyone here says it to be insulting. There A LOT of people here that don't go on any other forums, so they don't know any better. I don't get onto other forums, either. But it seems here its almost used as a term of endearment.
Maybe it's like being married for many years. Names that would be an insult to anyone else, become common names you call your spouse, and all in good fun! I can think of a few that I call my hubby on a daily basis. I'm sure Ange has a few for you too OR...if not, give it a few years!

It all depends on what I've done.
I can understand the idea that a lot are ignorant to the terms of message boards. I remember the first time I called Deb a Forum Whore. Yeesh. I said it in a completely innocent manner, because I considered myself to be one as well. Just a term for someone who posts a LOT. She nearly tore me a new one, though. It took some extremely fast talking, and I only had to spend four months in solitary. Come to think of it, Maisky may have seen my tally on the wall, next to the pipe I was chained to.
Still, I can't help but see the irony in calling a Mod a Troll.
Just come on down to the house, old boy, and I'll hide you in a little shed we keep out back. It's a bit small, with a crescent moon cutout in the door, but it's very private.

I advise taking the second floor.
I'd take the second floor too. Something about a two-story privy just seems ripe for a misunderstanding.

Similar. I don't see it as exactly the same. The way I see it, on other forums, it is a bad thing. But perhaps common enough to become trite. Kindof like how some women get to even calling themselves a B****, and taking as a complement when others call them that, at least in the right context. Normally, it's seen as negative. But sometimes it takes on a different meaning. Almost mocking the negative connotation.
Another example, is when it's a good thing to be 'Bad' ("You know it, I'm bad..." )
Same type of thing. On other forums, being called a mod troll might be a bad thing. Here, it's a different context, and a different story.
Ohh, I just re-read your last line. Yeah, it is a bit of an oxymoron isn't it Still, it's all the context

You going to keep him locked in that upstairs over summer? I hope not.

Thank God your back Maisky! There was almost a near riot because of your absence!
I'm handing out another round of to everyone including myself.
