What's some of the things that come to your mind? Feel free to answer as many times as you'd like.

One of my answers is:

And the freckle-faced waitress that didn't want to bring me haggis on a cold, rainy day in Fort William ("d'ye ken wha' it is, leddy?") and then stood in the door of the kitchen watching me eat it.
It had lots of pepper in it. There's a weather that makes you want it more than anything in the world.

There was an article in a recent National Geographic about the Hebrides, with a great photo of Fingal's Cave.

I think of the Highlands. I'm a sucker for mountain terrain generally and the Highlands are gorgeous. I can almost hear Celtic music too. I also think of Edinburgh castle!

Ahhh these are good ones. stoirmeil I had no idea there was such. I wouldn't want to take that flight. Antwn I too love the mountains more than anything in the world I think.

When I hear the word Scotland I also think of the sword called a claymore.

I think of the empty banks of Loch Naver where the towns that were cleared once stood. Now only scattered stones to mark the remains.
